“Broken and Rotting” Curse Jar

A powerful curse to bring ruin and turmoil to your enemy.

What You’ll Need:

A Jack of Spades playing card (this represents the target as a sort of poppet, and for the sake of the curse, the jack is gender-neutral)

A Peat Pot Planter (The peat pot is eco-friendly and more powerful for this particular curse, but a jar can also work)

Old Parsley, to represent financial ruin

1 Big, Rotting Strawberry, to represent romantic ruin

Rotting Banana or Carrot, to represent sexual ruin, if target has a penis, OR Rotting Peach or Red Apple, if target has a vulva (If you don’t know what genitalia the target has, use one of each)

Crushed Egg Shell Powder

1 Black candle

1 other candle: pink if target ids as female/transfemale/transfeminine, yellow if target ids as male/transmale/transmasculine, purple if target ids as agender/genderfluid/bigender/etc.

Black Pepper

Cayenne Pepper

Legally obtained animal bone(s) (I recommend chicken bones, you can get them out of pieces of fried chicken, so they’re easily available and more importantly, LEGAL!)

Storm/Rain Water

(Optional) Cursing sigils

(Optional) A slice/half/whole rotting onion, to represent their health deteriorating

What to do:

-BEST DONE DURING A WANING CRESCENT MOON-

STEP 1: Place the peat pot down on your working space. Place the black candle above it and the other candle below it. Light both of the candles. (Be sure to practice fire safety!)

STEP 2: Take the Jack of Spades and write the targets name over the card, as big as you can. (It can be any name you knew them by, their full name, a nickname, their “witch name” if you’re cursing another witch, etc.)

STEP 3: Place the animal bone(s), egg shell powder, and old parsley in the peat pot. Next place the Jack of Spades in. (If you have any cursing sigils, add them here.) Then put in the rotting strawberry and the rotting banana/carrot/peach/red apple. (If you add the onion, do it here.) Sprinkle the black and cayenne pepper over all of it, saying:

“I call upon the forces of dark,

”fulfill the curse, I’ve done my part.

“My reasoning sound, my logic tight,

”bring [TARGET’S NAME] suffering on this night“

STEP 4: Cover the peat pot with another peat pot or a piece of another cut to fit as a lid. (You can draw cursing sigils all over the pot if you so choose to.) Bury it somewhere close, like your garden or backyard. Pour the storm/rain water over the burial site.

TO BREAK THE CURSE:

STEP 1: Dig up the spot where you planted the peat pot. Try to find what you can of the jar. If it’s been a while, parts of it will have started to decay. Try to find the Jack of Spades. Take it out and rebury the rest.

STEP 2: Cross out the eyes and the hand(s) on the card with a dark colored marker. DO NOT MARK OUT THE NAME OF YOUR TARGET!

STEP 3: Place the card into a fire-safe bowl, and sprinkle a little salt and a little sugar over it.

STEP 4: Light the card on fire and let it burn until it’s nothing but ash. While it’s burning, say the chant:

”The curse is lifted, thus I have said,

“my curse is lifted from off your head.

”But be ye warned, should the need arise,

“I’ll recast the curse, and ruin your life.”

🏮 THE "NEVER AGAIN" BANISHING HEX 🏮

A spell in two parts: a banishment to protect yourself from someone who has hurt you in the past, and a hex to be triggered should they try to breach the boundaries you set up. Created because I have reason to believe that an abuser from my youth has moved to my current city of residence.

THE SET UP

🏮 Perform during the waning phase of the lunar cycle at sunset. A Saturday is preferable.

🏮 You will need: an incense stick (dragon’s blood if possible), salt, black pepper, garlic, thyme, some twine/string/yarn, iron nails, paper and pen, a small offering, water that is preferably from a running source such as a river, bay leaves, nettles.

🏮 You’ll also need a poppet or representation of the wrongdoer you are binding. It can be as simple as a paper cutout with their name on it, or as complex and personal as you’d like.

🏮 As always, adjust and experiment to suit to your own craft, path and situation.

THE SPELL

🏮 Cleanse. Wash your hands thoroughly.  Light the incense. Imagine the smoke creating a protective barrier around yourself.

🏮 Create the poppet or representation of the person you are binding to the hex. Make sure to channel as much of them as you can into this representation, as well as the wrong they’ve done.

🏮 On a separate piece of paper, write a list of your terms. These are the conditions which they must not break, or else the hex will trigger. For example: “They will not look at me.” “They will not speak to me.” “They will not think about me.” “They will not cross me.” Always finish with the final condition: “They will never hurt me again.”

🏮 Take the twine/string and begin reading the conditions of the hex that you wrote aloud whilst tying knots into it. Tie a knot for every condition in order to seal it in as you read it aloud.

🏮 Fold up the list of conditions and tie it to the poppet with the knotted twine. Place the poppet down on a surface and sprinkle a mix of ground up salt, black pepper, garlic and thyme around it in a circle.

🏮 Lay down the iron nails around the poppet so that they “pierce” the circle, points inwards towards the poppet, one for each condition on your list. You can place a charged crystal at the head of each one for additional power if you wish. These are your hexes: you may rub spices or whisper malice into them as you will.

🏮 If it hasn’t already, focus on the binding of the hex until the incense stick goes out, layering up the energy. You may also use this time to focus on cleansing, healing, and moving on from the soon to be banished wrongdoer.

🏮 Lay out the small offering. I would recommend a shotglass of vodka, a egg cup of rice, or a tobacco cigarette. Depending on your path, the preferred offering may be different or an offering may be completely unnecessary.

🏮 Go to sleep. Let your mind be emptied of the one you are binding.

🏮 When the sun rises, the offerings will have served their purpose. Clean them away as appropriate. Then lift the poppet from the circle and dunk it in a jar of the water, followed by each of the nails. Add bay leaves and nettles. If it’s safe, you can detach the list of conditions and burn it instead of dunking it with the poppet.

🏮 Another cleansing of your hands to finish.

Make Them Choke -- Binding Curse

This is a curse I’d recommend using against abusers or people threatening you, less of a ‘learn your lesson’ curse and more of a ‘revenge and power’ curse. 

Make a poppet or effigy, out of cloth, paper, clay, etc. Design it to their likes, and add a taglock  such as DNA matter (fingernails, hair, etc), or a photograph, or signature. Put an X over the mouth.

Ingredients:

rhubarb leaves

daffodil flower

black string

container of dirt or easily dug up ground

If your poppet is made of cloth or is otherwise hollow, you can stuff it with your plant matter. This is the preferred method. Otherwise, do the following:

Take your poppet and your plant matter, and your string. Bundle it all up, and wrap the string around it so that the leaves and flower are tied up with your poppet. Imagine you’re choking your target out, wrapping the string around their neck. They cannot speak, they cannot scream at you, they are helpless. They are bound. 

If the ground is soft enough, go outside and bury the poppet (preferably away from your home). If not, you can bury it in a plant pot or other container full of dirt. As you bury it, envision your target feeling trapped and strangled. Their afraid and they don’t know why, panicked. You have this power over them. 

If you need to undo the curse, you may unbury your poppet. They can breathe again, the panic ebbs and they feel light and free, but knowing that one wrong step could land them back in the dirt.

A lot of people think you have to be born with it and can’t improve it all if you’re not. It’s not like you’re stuck with being unable to communicate for the rest of your life.

Energy Work

I am an energy witch! Energy work is one of the best ways to do easy, inexpensive, and on the go magic! With practice, one can produce the same results with energy magic as with spells. But how does one start?

🔮Meditation. This is very important! Choose a set time each day, and a method of meditation, and try to get in tune with your energy. Even 5 minutes is good. 🔮Try to sense the energy around you. Go with your instinct. Feels high energy? Or maybe low? Just practice this. 🔮Try an energy spell, such as a psi ball exercise. Simple is best to start with. 🔮Visualize! Daydream, actively visualize, or work on what I like to call your “mind palace” (Sherlock fans know what I’m talking about 😆) 🔮Try to “see” energy though visualization. What color is it? What shape? Can you move it? Just play with it. 🔮Work on raising energy, use music, exercise, meditation, hanging out with friends, drawing, hobbies, basically whatever makes you happy and energized. Everyone will have different ways of doing it. 🔮Again, meditation! It doesn’t need to be long, one can even sit for 2 minutes, feel their energy, and be like “good it’s there”. 🔮Work on being aware of your own energy.
