Also, the experience of being su!cidal and having the thought of "If I fail, they'll send the cops. I can't fail." Making the situation 1000000% worse and more likely that the person will be successful in offing themselves because the fear of doing it wrong and not completing the task having a punishable consequence is INSANE and we need to reevaluate how we respond to these scenarios.

A medical professional said I was experiencing full body tremors. I was seizing. It was a seizure. They really don't like calling it what it is or actually being helpful because it's non-epileptic.

I’m so sorry this has happened to you. Unfortunately, it is common particularly in general neurology and ER’s although some other professionals can be this way.

Full body tremors is inherently wrong and I’m sorry you had to deal with that, that’s frustrating and minimizes the experience.

I also have experience with non-epileptic seizures and I do have medical professionals refer to them as seizures.

It’s honestly okay to call them a seizure or seizure-like, although I would say be prepared to have them called seizure-like or an event in medical care just for accuracy purposes.

Some, may choose to refer to them as events, seizure-like events or seizure-like episodes which is definitely way better than calling it full body tremors.

As for not being helpful, unfortunately there is a lot of stigma surrounding them and some professionals still see them as something as a patient is actively inducing or faking which is not okay.

A lot of it is rooted in misinformation and stigma and I’m sorry the system has failed you.

I highly suggest finding a new medical professional if you haven’t already, it made a world of a difference for me.

i wish i had the freedom of a man and the comfort of a body much smaller than the one i inhabit. i wish my body wasn't so obvious and distracting, i wish the way i decorated it was more eyecatching than the lumps on my chest and the way they seem to invite trouble for merely existing upon my frame. i wish when people gaze upon my hips, they see not mother, but dancer, warrior, grace. i wish the clothes i sewed hung upon a body not my own. i wish the mirror would show a form more natural to my spirit. i wish i could command this body to change, and that it would obey willingly. it rebels in the form of inflammation, chronic aches, and inflicts migraines upon my brain to remind me that my thoughts are, in fact, as painful as they seem.

Not sure if its just the younger sibling instinct in me but I fucking love watching people play video games please just let me sit beside you as you play a game

It took me years to finally enjoy playing video games by myself because I was so conditioned to watching or waiting to be invited to play. I was also the poor kid who couldn't afford the expensive games, so I learned to just sit and watch while my older cousins would play. If we played a free game, I wouldn't level up or play on my own accounts because I was scared they would get upset if I leveled up too far ahead of them... (Which happened often and usually resulted in my cousin throwing a tantrum that ended in me being sent home early or them being physically violent with me.)

So I played no-stakes, repetitive games that they didn't have interest in.

That was the norm until this year. When I got my diagnosis and was effectively told "hey for now, just take it easy, you won't get to see this doctor for another year because of waitlist" I was like "shit how am I going to keep myself busy????"

Only to remember my amazing back-catalog of Steam sale purchases and games I never finished out of fear of getting ahead.

In fact, I can proudly say I broke my Roblox Timewaster Addiction™ this year and began spending copious amounts of time on Cult of the Lamb, Toontown Rewritten, and BG3. And I'm loving every minute of it, guilt-free.
