Hey cocefi! I just started playing Drawn to Life recently and I’m like super obsessed with it now :3 I kinda wish I saw it when I was a kid, but even now it’s inspiring the heck outta me! Your art style is magical, and it’s actually one of the reasons I’m getting more serious into breaking into the gaming industry with my art skills. If you ever have any advice for someone just starting out, I’d love to hear it!
Hello chocotamii, thanks for writing in. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying DtL. My personal advice for someone starting out is to continue honing your skills (but also remember to chill so you don't burn yourself out) and to participate in game/art communities by posting your work, giving helpful comments/encouragements and joining hobby projects for experience. Better yet, make friends and have fun together! In the indie games space, being easy to work with will often land you more opportunities than just having an amazing portfolio. Welp, that's all I can think of right now, my past experience may be outdated and irrelevant nowadays as the landscape has changed considerably, so do take them with a pinch of salt. Hope that helps and have a good day!
