What positions I think Riordanverse characters would play in volleyball:
(Btw most of my volleyball knowledge come from haikyuu so I’m sorry if my explanation of the positions is wrong-)
Setter: sets the ball to a spiker, basically kinda control the game.
Wing spikers: there are 3 wing spikers on the court, the play offense and hit the ball on the other side of the court
Middle blockers: there are usually two on the court but I think they switch places with liberos often, they block the spikes from the other team, they play defense but can also spike the ball if needed.
Libero: the main defense player, best receiver of the ball, and gets the ball to the setter. The backbone of the defense, not allowed to play offense and their jersey is a different color then their teammates .
Pinch server: not a main player and only comes in to serve the call or to turn around the game, pinch servers usually have a strong serve or special serve like a floating serve.
Percy: wing spiker or the ‘ace’. (Means the strongest spiker on the team)
Annabeth: setter, I don’t take criticism she’s a setter.
Leo: he gives me either pinch server or libero vibes.
Jason: Wing spiker definitely.
Frank: wing spiker or middle blocker.
Hazel: ik the fandom portrays her as “soft” but I feel like she’s a wing spiker with one hell of a spike (like asahi)
Reyna: setter, imagine a match between her and annabeth it would be insane.
Nico: libero, he’s the backbone of his team.
Will: middle blocker, I can just imagine him blocking a strong spike and his smug face.
Clarisse: WING SPIKER NEED I SAY MORE????
Meg: A libero, I feel like she’ll be the noya of her team.
Lester: he’d be bench warmer, but he’ll cheer on his teammates and support them and ready to fill in if needed.
Chiron and Mr.D: they’d be coaches
Coach hedge: jeez idk maybe the coach?
Blitzen: he’d refuse to play, the jerseys are too ugly for him.
Hearthstone: middle blocker.
