This is also an unbiased blog so I will post confessions regardless of if I agree with it or not.

Just a confession blog for the Horizons Fandom. I found that the other two weren't active and I was a little sad with that knowledge, and I hope that both of the original owners are doing well <3 /p

You can call me Canter, I'm an adult and I've been in the Horizons Fandom for roughly 2 years now. I don't intend to respond to confessions, so you can see this as a neutral zone.

Ult should have been introduced in Wonder Voyage instead of Mega Voltage. His character feels more in-line with what Wonder Voyage is setting up, the main cast relaxing and doing down to earth activities that they weren't allowed to do.

I can see him being introduced in this arc and slowly making his way into the trio and us learning more about him slowly but surely. He can still be serious and his backstory doesn't have to change, but it feels forced in the final two arcs, and bloats the screentime when we could have had it focus on the trio or The Explorers.

His inclusion in the final two arcs is forced and he takes up time that should have been given to the other characters. Removing him from the final two arcs would have let us explore the other characters a little better, and breath a little more.

(sorry for sounding so harsh, this has been on my mind for so long. I enjoy Ult, but he should have been introduced in Wonder Voyage instead of Mega Voltage.

With that said, I'm gonna be taking a step back from Horizons. It's not fun anymore and the fandom is slowly driving me crazy. Hope y'all enjoy the rest of the series :]

I wish they'd never made Dot wear that stupid frilly thing in that one episode because so many fans are so weird about it and act like she's hyperfeminine now when she's not and never has been

I know she was uncomfortable with it in canon, and it was nice to see her making her preferences clear, but none of these people will ever acknowledge that and only register that she wore it and "looked cute in it" and now they think it should replace her main outfit or something idk

With the situation regarding a certain big name in the Horizons fandom, I actually feel so discouraged from taking part in it because we were friends, and I had no idea they did all this until this morning. I still feel guilty for associating with them even though I didn't know what they did before

Not the only thing @/sxrah-twt AI generated and tried to pass as legitimate either. You can tell this one is also AI based on the fact that one of her legs are turned awkwardly, and that same leg just completely disappears further up. Artists with this level of anatomy knowledge do not make this kind of mistake. Not to mention this drawing uses a very different style than the FriOrla one. (Sorry this isn't technically a confession.)

This fandom is lowkey incapable of not mentioning other ships around a post about one ship

There's this one FriOri shipper who whenever they reblog smfh about other Orla ships they always reblog with "i may be a friori shipper"

You don't need to say that.

This isn't about friori.

If you don't like lther Orla ships just don't reblog other Orla ships or if you do then just shut up about FriOri.

It's basic fandom etiquette to not do that.

This is a big issues across fandom spaces. I get it, talking about your favourite ship with someone mentioning a different ship (positive or negative) is frustrating.

since a lot of people have shit on friori and it's shippers for no reason

here is my reason for disliking it without beinf an asshole

i hate the childhood friends to lovers trope

one of the most overused tropes in media. it can be done well but in friori's case it is done terribly

we are told they were childhood friends ONCE and it is never brought up again.

it is probably a very forgettable fact because of h9w much more interesting the rest of the episode it is mentioned in is

so it gets less points for that, why mention smth like that in a episode where there is a bigger story happening?

I hate when other shippers use Orla being all emotional and moved to tears about Friede's disappearance and reappearance as a reason for them being in love with each other

That feels very "If she wasn't in love with him" she wouldn't care.

Coming by again just to say: Spinel should be crazy about all the RVTs, not just Friede. I think it'd be interesting to see how he would try and manipulate information out of them or try to get them on his side.

I want him to take advantage of Orla's vunreable state in the 1 year and get he to work for him, by promising everything Friede couldn't. Having her work on better Strong Spheres, and having her realize that Friede never appreciated her as much as she appreciated him.

Have him charm Murdock through compliments on his cooking and playing into his insecurities about protecting Dot, handing him oppurtunities that will make Murdock trust him.

Spinel gaslighting Mollie and taking her away from her family again, and insisting they can work together and get a better future for pokemon and people. Feeding her lies and having her experiment with Laqua's properties to get better and more efficiant results.

Have him turn the trio against Friede for basically lying about his death and not contacting them for an entire year, forcing them to grieve when they didn't have to. Make Spinel their mentor as he feeds into their doubts about Laqua and their original mission.

If Pokemon wasn't aimed at kids, I'd love to see an uapologetically evil Spinel that delves into the insecurities and manipulation of others. I need to see him at his full potenial as a villian!!

I honestly wish Horizons ended after the Laqua Arc, while it wasn't the most satisfying ending and the progess to get there could have been executed better. It felt better to leave the characters in an open ending and have the fans explore them outside of the show.

Wonder Voyage doesn't seem all that interesting to me, it just feels like padding while we wait for gen 10 (also maybe it's just me, but it feels like they're trying to capitalize on the old anime, and how it didn't really have the high-stakes that Horizons does). I understand *why* they're doing this, the anime has always run alongside the game releases, but Horizons was such a contained story outside of the game characters appearing.

It feels weird to see them *just now* exploring the ScVi legendaries, Ogerpon & the Loyal Three, along with the Ancient Ruin pokemon and more.

To leave the characters at the end of The Laqua Arc would have left me happier because the *idea* of what the characters would do *after* spending approximately 2 years of their lives on constant alert would have been more interesting than just dragging it out.
