His name is Kousei he got revived by the Tsukasa Army by accident because he looked a bit like Hyouga as a statue and at the moment of the petrification he was blinking. He was a janitor so he was also holding a broom that was confused as a spear. He doesn't do anything really but they kept him to clean around base. He ends up at the Kingdom of Science doing exactly that afterwards and there is no-one better than him at making everything look spotless

How I must have looked to my boyfriend last night as I ranted to him about everyone writing and talking about Stanley as if he was an Air Force pilot when he is, actually, a Marine

I didn't know about the encyclopedia! I used my own knowledge on the military forces of the U.S. On chapter 157 of the manga iirc, Stanley is seen wearing a formal Marines uniform, and military badges that he could only obtain if he was either a Marine or in the Navy (which would make sense, since both Navy officers and Marine officers are under the jurisdiction of the U.S Navy). The Marines do have an aereal unit where he could have learnt to pilot a plane (although they focus mostly on helicopters, they do have planes!). If he was Air Force and 'special unit' he would have to had joined the AFSPECWAR, and the members of such have very specialised roles within their ranks which would not encompass all of Stanley's skills (unless he's something like SWMS, but that's a mostly support position for other combatants afaik). Well, personally I also tend to agree with what a Marine would mix better with Stanley's personality and skills, even if he does drive a plane twice... Maybe Inagaki and Boichi weren't really that into that specific part of the research or they didn't discuss it beforehand...? (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠) The Marine's formal uniform is a pretty one after all... They could've just chosen the uniform and badges for aesthetics...

You'd know better then me but I feel like those ages are wack. I took a look at the others, before they join the special forces it has them down as:

Leonard - America Navy

Brody - working for a private company

Maya - retired MMA word champion

Charlotte - part of a civilian aerobatics team an also "Participates in mock dogfights with the Air Force"... ??

I know it mostly through research and because I like war movies (I'm Chilean lol I've never been to the U.S) but yes...! Although I can see Xeno joining uni very early considering he is indeed a super genius, the ranks and jobs for the rest of his team are insane... I would have assumed they were all military from the get go since they were all invited to the secret government meeting about the swallow petrification event so they must have a significant rank and experience but apparently... They aren't?? Like only Leonard makes sense to me lol randomly recruiting them from unrelated jobs makes them feel like they are the Avengers or something rather than proper soldiers ┐⁠(⁠‘⁠～⁠`⁠;⁠)⁠┌
