Day 12:31: Bestfriend Rick Rypien

I met Rick in 2005. We were playing in Winnipeg together and I remember Rick joined us at the tail end of the year. My first impression was ‘who is this little kid thats gonna come try to play on our team with all these men?‘ but he quickly defied odds. He was just such a great guy to be around, he was really mature for his age. Really quiet… but if you ever made eye contact with him he’d give you a nice little smile or a little sarcastic comment. We became friends instantly.
