This isn't really a specific type of blog, so i just post/repost wtv >_< I'm super cool you guys trust!

The worst thing is that there is so much potential for exploring the horror of psych wards from the angle of medical abuse, ableism, forced treatment/drugging, loss of autonomy, power imbalance, demonization, dehumanization, etc, and YET the horror genre keeps defaulting to "insane asylums and psych wards are scary because there are mentally ill people in there"

as a nightshift worker at a long term care facility where i have been assaulted by someone with poor mental health- i can not support this post more.

i want a serial drama where the scenes are out of order so you have to rely on context clues to find out what's going on and who everyone is. at the end of the season its revealed that your pov character is an old woman on hospice with in home care.

i want indy games where you have to work the nightshift at a shitty nursing home and if you treat the people badly the general morphs into a horror survival because you deserve it. ( its hard to treat people well because of understaffing)

i want to see a 127hr style movie about a disabled person banging on the walls and throwing thing around their room because no one has changed or repositioned them and they know it only takes 3 hrs to get a pressure sore.

i want a novel written that focuses on a woman in an assisted living facility that starts as a romance between her and another resident. becomes a drama when the staff has weird rules about where and how she can see her boyfriend. and becomes a phycological horror as she realizes (not for the first time) that the man is her abusive ex husband who she left decades ago and now cant recognize or remember.

i want a short story about soldiers playing poker at the mess tent missing home- that you realize halfway through that its actually about disabled/elderly veterans playing poker at the dining hall missing home again.

all of these ideas are based in things i have seen in my life and They are fascinating moving emotional stories about the type of ageism and abuse and greif you get in our society today. and Yet. AND YET. every medical story i see boils down to "wow its scary that people have bad brains sometimes. they're practically monsters."

This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.

this is normally a thought id post on one of my alts but people should talk abt girls liking girls (in whatever way like i dont wanna say lesbianism bc what if its a bisexual lol) in a way less wholesome way I think that would help a lot. I just saw a video on this and I think it explained why i was so confused for such a long time bc like anyone can think a girl is pretty and wanna braid her her but like what let ME know i was bi was the more freaky thoughts 🥸.
