Tonight I was reminded why I rarely go out to eat. Almost $60 for a sandwich, appetizer and mocktail. That was just my stuff. My friend got 2 martinis at $15 a pop.

Also now my belly is bloated and feels icky. The food was nothing to get super excited about. I’m now an old woman who goes “We have food at home.” And also I can cook a hell of a lot better.

what they don’t tell you about using a website consistently for over a decade is that you’ll have multiple internet friends you’re pretty sure have died but you’ll never know because they never gave their full name. their blog is like a monument and mortuary, a snapshot into their thoughts and a time where they could still think them. either that or they’re fine and they’re no longer into Gorillaz or whatever.

I have so much love and respect for women who are honest about their own loneliness but also find the good in it like when audrey hepburn said “I have to be alone very often. After a wake for a 7 year old this week, my coworker/friend (who was 32) passing this week and having to go to her wake and funeral next week. I just want to curl up.

Thankfully another coworker makes edibles so that’s kicking in.

It is almost June and today the weather has decided to be winds of 50mph, rain, and a feel of 23°F. What the hell New England.

But this is also a reason to stay cozy in bed with the cats all day and play Baldur’s Gate. Or rewatch Off Campus.
