I have all the motivation in the world to draw but none of the ideas. I’m in this weird vibe where like I don’t have such STRONG emotions towards any one thing atm. It’s frustrating cause I wanna draw more Frev stuff and I wanna draw my OCs or it would even be really fucking nice if I could do adopts or something but my brain is fresh out of steam!! The infinite frustrations of life!!

Anyways if anybody has any like cool ideas or anything lmk. My dying over here!

a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... At the same time though you have a little Saul Goodman in your ear going "your honor in their defense: who cares like omfgggg who caresssssss like come onnnnnn"

Literally!! Like I mean there’s def some guys who I can’t defend for the life of me but most of the time when I have a problematic blorbo it’s cause people make a 2D caricature of who they are. Often times not being evil but being misunderstood. I love silly misunderstood blorbos!!!

And i got hit again because i don't approve of the Maximilien Robespierre x Eléonore Duplay ship, and i have a frev oc who doesn't like it either...

That's exactly what i was afraid of. That if i wrote something, even slightly related to my dislike of the ship, or replied to an ask related to it, there would be massive unfollows.

I really try very hard to limit posts about my dislike for this ship, but SOMETIMES they can still happen...

Does disliking a ship make me a worse person?

If, for example, i post that i disliked Saintspierre (I'm neutral towards that ship), people would turn their backs on me too. And if I showed my admiration for Danspierre, that would also be a problem...

I don't have the strength to keep people around anymore. Whatever i do, it will be bad.

Yeah honestly that appears to be how it is in this space. It’s really dumb, like just live and let live. Personally I am neutral on most ships, most of the reason I may find joy in shipping is because my friends like that ship. Recently (as in about a month ago) somebody confused my criticism of Saintpierre (as a way to point out somebody else’s hypocrisy in their meaning of “problematic”) as me hating it. If you don’t like something, that’s entirely okay! The only problem that comes from not liking something is when you go out of your way to target the people who do like said thing. Just saying you don’t like something is not that, it’s not a personal attack on anybody, it’s just your truth. Don’t feel too bad, you’re not bad for having preferences.
