You know how Bumblebees are these charming fuzzy round and compact creatures? Plump little fairies that hum tunelessly to themselves as they go about their business…

What if I told you they have two pairs of just obscenely long, weirdly thin legs. Legs that could belong to H. G. Wells' Tripods. Legs that would not look out of place on Tim Burton's latest monster. Legs that suggest a degree of terrestrial mobility and manoeuvrability that bumblebees DO NOT have. And the three pairs of legs are not separated from each other by any reasonable spacing, oh no. Instead, the posterior pair are positioned immediately side-by-side like the creatures of James Cameron's Pandora.

We absolutely SHOULD celebrate DC greenlighting three Black-led projects with Black creative teams because YAY but!! one of the requests of DCBlackout is that these titles be given immunity from cancellation for 2 years. Obviously we should do our part and preorder & show up for these titles, but DC is also not off the hook yet!!! Stay vigilant and keep demanding better for Black characters, fans, and creatives!!!!

hi guys, after a long and complicated pregnancy, unfortunately the ship (and two of the babies) didn't make it. more of an explanation under the cut.

as this is a dark time for us all, we shall hold a funeral for our beloved boats.

pregnant ship was dear to us all. but perhaps most of all to I, tumblr user blancdasta, and connie, tumblr user starcrossedconverse. she was our everything. she carried our beautiful children. she was the love of our lives. her death, and the death of half of our children, is the worst event to happen to me to date. it’s going to take a long time for me to recover. healing won’t be linear, and I’ll need all the support I can get. I love you, Ship, and I could never forget you 💔

offer your sympathies and condolences, for she will never know her mother as she was in life, never hear her encouragement as she sails the seas for the first time, never feel the uplifting touch of her love as she grows, and never fully move on from this tragic loss.
