The truth isn't that they aren't ready or aren't sure of what they're looking for - it's that they don't see a future (with you). Getting over the initial sting of learning that you are once again just not quite what someone was looking for, or that there are so many other gorgeous options out there will a l w a y s suck.

I know that there isn't a 100% truthful or honest way of telling someone you just aren't attracted or into them anymore, everyone always cushions this blow. Maybe it's my period talking but man does this feel awful.

it seems like the only thing i have strength for tonight is, ironically, crying. it didn’t take much to trigger my tear ducts and when i start, i can’t stop. never ask questions you don’t want the answers to. don’t even ask them indirectly because they hurt you the same way. my greatest weakness is how stubborn my heart is and god i wish i was a lot more headstrong with myself. but a good cry is needed every once in awhile, coupled with however many cigarettes it takes to numb the pain (and kill the throat). the look of my hair is a direct reflection of how i feel some days. bad hair days they call it. today is very bad hair day.

they say don’t lose hope but we’re always hoping for something slightly out of reach and then they say “go manage your expectations”.
