"I want to learn how to be a tuner."
"….?! C-Can you repeat that, please?"
"Sometimes Sora would tell me to tune his ATs, or build him this part or that. Sora was lazy like that, since I did the majority of his parts before … one of your tuners came up."
"Anyways…"
She was listening and processing the information she was being given simultaneously. Takeuchi Sora's intentions could be questioned, but whatever the case, his talent could not. The pledge queen had never taken a full examination of its Air Trek, but just like he mentioned, they had been tuned by someone she knew well - Hako. On the other hand, while Hako was talented, to tune someone she had no relation with... the results were doubtful to say the least. Kururu was suspicious of this man, but she was also a strong believer in someone being able to reform themselves. If he was speaking the truth...
"Very well. If I give you some parts and a broken Air Trek, could you attempt to fix them?"
"It’s fine." he replied, taking a sip.
"N-No sugar? Are you sure that's fine?", cue the nervous Kururu that can't drink coffee without 5 spoons of sugar.

He’s not at all surprised from the hesitation within her voice; && honestly the Fang King could care less; fear was something he forced into people even if he never tried. Yet at the moment he hardly found himself giving a care to scare the girl. His smirk is light yet lacked in the normal hostility as always. Single hue gazes to her; sharp; && harsh as always.
::{/ ❝’ Right you are; I’m Agito; Not Akito. Relax will ya—- Fuck { y o u ’ r e } acting like I’m about to kill you or some shit—-; Tch anyhow I’m fine—— I suppose; bored as fuck like always really. ‘❞ \}
"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to--!", it was strange really. In many ways, after all she had been through and her current situation, she believed she had changed. No longer that hesitant or nervous over the smallest things. But reality had many times taught her that it wasn't true. She often found herself reversing to that, with some people at least, and Kururu was unsure whether she was comfortable with that.
After a moment of silence, the Pledge Queen tried again. "Is that so? I guess not much has been happening around here, huh? How is... Kogarasumaru doing?"
[ I actually think Kururu's dynamics with team Kogarasumaru are pretty interesting. I mean, the ones who she had a stronger interaction with were Ikki and Agito (and Akito), plus Emily and Yayoi to some extent. And with pretty much everyone else but Ikki, she encountered some tough situations that were never really that well addressed (as far as I remember).
I mean, Akito had the whole thing of being jealous over Ikki and Kururu's friendship and that was kind of pushed aside as the manga went on. Emily and Yayoi basically accused her of wanting to take Ringo's place and I don't think she has any hard feelings over the matter, but I do wonder if that sometimes makes her feel awkward when interacting with them. I should probably go and re-read the manga soon, a proper Kururu analysis is needed from my part.]

His single optic is careful; his gaze light as he looked to the women a ways from his. A blink or two && the familiar face of the pinkette caused the King to give a light hearted smirk. Fingers tap against the table top of the open cafe; as he flicked his wrist to the girl.
::{/ ❝’ Well —- if it isn’t Kururu — ! '’❞ \}
Soon after she too noticed the other. Unsure at first of who it might be - even if she had been living for a short while with them, the detail of the position of the eye patch had been lost in her -, Kururu figured out it was the more aggressive of the two from the smirk she was met with. In all honesty, the Pledge Queen had hoped she could avoid the encounter, but there wasn't really much to be done a this point.
"Agito-kun, right? I-It's been a while since I last saw you. Have you been doing well?", small conversation, yes, the thing she was terrible at.
"I want to learn how to be a tuner."
"….?! C-Can you repeat that, please?"
"I… am thinking of giving up the jade road… for the oath road. Because… I … don’t want to see… the fear of people… when I say my name. I… want to give support to the people… I… I… consider my friends. So please teach me!"
"....", even after he concluded and a few moments had passed, Kururu retained the same look of surprise. This was a scenery she couldn't have predicted at all. And it wasn't even only the shock of it being who it was, the word "teach" was also affecting her. Had anyone ever been taught how to work the Ring Road? Well, of course all the present tuners had received help in order to achieve their true potential, but they all had previous aptitudes that made them be considered. So was it really possible to teach someone from zero? "I'm not sure... H-Have you ever had any previous contact with the Ring Road? I mean, aside from being tuned.", she was unsure as to whether he had been through the process yet, but it was likely.
"Fine." he replied with a smile.
"I'll get right on that, then!" and then she left, staying away for a few moments. When she returned, she was struggling to balance said cup of coffee to not fall on the floor, but after a few moments of tension, she managed to land it safely on a table next to him. "H-Here! I was unsure of how much sugar you wanted so I brought it along with me."
"I want to learn how to be a tuner."
"....?! C-Can you repeat that, please?"
"Does female have anything to do with being a better tuner?"
"Not at all...! The characteristics required of a tuner are not gender-based. I've found that everyone also seems to have their own way of-- well, "tuning" so to speak. I-If you'd like another perspective, you should ask Kanon..."
"Yes, it was simple. Because that man still managed to bother everyone, even after he died. He made me a foot, and a copy of the gem regalia. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still alive. I heard that … a lot of people are still alive, like Spitfire.”
"A lot of people thought dead, are alive. And it bothers me, because how did they survive."
At first she was confused over who this man he was talking about was, but as his explanation progressed, she understood. The pledge queen had made an effort in order to investigate further into his plans as a part of her research, so to some extent, she wasn't surprised that this could happen.
To defy death however... But he was right, a lot of people who were supposed to be "dead" had came back. And it was concerning to some extent. If he had intervened in this, could it mean he had another plan? "I'm not sure myself... But I've seen so many things happen in these past years that... shouldn't have happened really."
"No, it’s fine."
"You'll get sick if nothing is done though. I can't allow that...! A cup of coffee instead, then?"
"17." She replied calmly with a smile. She looked over kururu now with slight interest. "You’re pretty sumeragi san. How do you keep your hair clean."
"...What?", wasn't that way too old? How did these things happen, had she actually froze in time? Was this perhaps a dream? "But how--!", her shock was such that she almost forgot to reply to her following question, but the flattering comment was enough to make Kururu embarrassed and reply.
"I'm... not really! I just wash it normally, can't seem to find a shampoo that keeps it in its place, though..."
A variety of tools were spread around her, as she focused on the machinery in front of her. So many things had been done today, after she had quite stupidly let the workload increase over time. With her new found liking to investigation and constant trips, being the Pledge Queen had become... increasingly hard. As it had to become completely focused on a single task.
Tic...
At times, she questioned whether she was actually suitable for the position anymore. With the lack of fights, Kururu had found herself doing more of what actually made her want to join Tool Toul To in the first place. Helping the casual stormrider always seemed so much more important than to get involved in all the king issues.
Toc...
At times, she wondered what would have happened if he hadn't been the king assigned to her. Would she have forfeited the task that was given to her? What would she even be doing now? As she moved the wrench to finish the final touch, she took her free hand to her forehead and wiped the sweat.
Getting up and looking at the clock behind her, she smiled faintly. "6 different ones in exactly 10800 seconds, huh? I guess that's a new record."
