So you know how you love me because you havenât had a single meeting with anyone since I became your assistant? Thatâs because every time someone calls and requests a meeting with you, I always schedule it for March 31st.
i took a philosophy class my first year at community college, and it was the funnest shit ever - prof gave us a powerpoint and told us to fight with him when we disagreed so we could have discussions, then gave us his steam username so we could play racing games together. one time, he told us this story about a prof he had in grad school - guy was tenured, and apparently a great teacher. but he had this time built into his schedule where other profs would be in labs, experimenting, doing research, where he stood in his empty classroom with a warm cup of tea and stared out the window. for these 1.5 hour schedule blocks. and the administration would come to him and be like âdude, weâre not paying you to stare out the window, why arenât you working?â and heâd say, âi am working. iâm a philosopher, itâs my job to contemplate the world and life and thatâs what Iâm doing,â and they couldnât do shit cause he was tenured. and then every handful of years heâd pop out a book that blew everybodyâs tits off and theyâd get a surge of new philosophy grads come to study with him and make the school a lot of money.
So yeah, i think thatâs still what being a philosopher is like
this is pretty cute :)
This is so funny imagine meeting someone who looks just like you but you donât speak the language so itâs just like the Spider-Man meme

âthereâs a lodge banner, down in the welfare. over a hundred years old. bring it out for special occasions, yâknow. iâll show it to you one day. itâs a symbol, like this. two hands. thatâs what the labour movement means - should mean. you support me, i support you, whoever you are, wherever you come from, shoulder to shoulder, hand to hand.â

i canât talk shit about the pirates of the caribbean films as if elizabeth swann becoming pirate king didnât hand my entire ass to me and make me the gay i am today
these 2 looks basically defined my sexuality and iâm not afraid to admit it
things pirates of the caribbean got right:
1. will and elizabethâs love story
2. elizabeth becoming pirate king
3. avoiding sexualizing elizabeth or the other female pirate characters in the first three films by allowing them to wear period-accurate pirate outfits that werenât tailored to be revealing and impractical for âsex appealâ just because theyâre women
4. hans zimmerâs entire score but especially the iconic âheâs a pirateâ main theme

The Good Place really said âPeople improve when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them, when they donât?â and "We choose to be good because of our bonds with other people" and "What matters isnât if people are good or bad. What matters is if theyâre trying to be better today than they were yesterday" and "If soulmates do exist, they aren't found, they're made" and "That knowledge [that life ends] is what gives life meaning" and "The answer is friends" and "Thatâs what the Good Place really is â itâs not even a place, really. Itâs just having enough time with the people you love" and I think that's very sexy of them
