plsenzo:
itâs rather funny how touchy-feely the two friends are, but itâs also incredibly endearing. the way marleigh fits right into the mold of enzoâs embrace just feels like home, and he wouldnât trade it for anything. the only thing that could make it better would be if the baby was snuggled up with them, but she needs her sleep so enzo doesnât mind. he twirls a strand of her blonde locks absent-mindedly. âi think sheâs happy,â enzo reassures marleigh, in regards to her daughter. heâs aware of her own rocky relationship with her mother, and enzo can definitely sympathize with that and with her intent to give her own child what she feels she didnât have. hell, enzo wants the same for the kid too, even though she isnât biologically his. life had just handed the two of them unfortunate parenting situations, so itâs only natural that they wish to bestow positivity on their own kids. âsheâs a good baby, marleigh,â he tells her. âsheâs just a positive little sun beam, even when sheâs kinda cranky.â he nudges her side. âjust like you.â
of all the places around the world that marleigh has visited and all the houses sheâs had the privilege to live inside, that feeling of home has always seemed to escape her. but being here with enzo, curling inside the safety of his arms, surrounded by nothing but his warmth and compassion.. itâs home. he has always been her home. resting her head against enzoâs shoulder, her smile was soft. âshe is a good baby, isnât she?â she tilts her chin up to meet his gaze her expression more serious then it had been moments before. âthanks. for everything. for being so good with her and me. you really are the best guy i know.â
