Only the best of the best, y'all deserve to watch something well made.
This post was triggered by something that @roachpatrolâ said over here about the expectation for girls to be sweet and clean and harmless:
Holy shit, if I was eight years younger and wandering into fandom for the first time, I can guarantee that the culture right now wouldâve fucked me up and ground me down and taken away all my healthy outlets.
Picture: you are a girl at the tender young age of mumbledyteen. Up until this point you have been taught that all dark thoughts are literally hand-delivered into your head by the devil, and that the only correct method of dealing with negativity is to ignore them and pray harder. Concentrate on what is good and righteous and pure to the exclusion of all else, this is how you be a good person.
You are also a fully-functioning human being, one who can feel stressed or lonely or angry or any number of bad things. Mostly, with emotions that are still working themselves out, you feel this rumbling, white-hot white noise under everything, all the time. Sometimes it rolls in like a thunderstorm and everything else gets drowned out, and sometimes itâs only quietly muttering in the distance. Either way itâs always there, and the sound shreds uncomfortably at the inside of your brain.
When you were younger, before you were in charge of your own media consumption, your brain would shred up a myriad of saccharine stories to try and match the noise of the shredder in your head. Bad things happening, people getting hurt, characters trapped in unhealthy relationships of all kinds.
Fanfiction, the product of a hundred thousand other mumbledyteens whose brains are all screaming the same way, makes something in your brain go ping.Â
Unfortunately, if the planet had ever been united on any single message, it was probably that no matter how you feel: 1) your feelings werenât unique 2) they didnât matter 3) they didnât matter because they werenât unique, they were shared among millions of hysterical, worthless teenaged girls just like you.
Fandom was confirmation of the first, but (with some hiccups along the way) outright rejection of the last two. Fuck you, our feelings do matter, and this is a story just for us.
A disclaimer: these arenât good stories, otherwise they wouldnât have to be defended. Their flavor of topic is not within societally acceptable bounds. Fictional characters have sex and get tortured and raped and abused, but their screaming harmonizes with the pitch of the shredder when itâs burrowing deepest.
As a teenager I never thought that my feelings were important enough to deal with, but these stories let me look at them sideways. Audience catharsis is the whole point of tragedy, after all.
And hell, these days Iâm a happy, healthy adult who barely even has the urge to go looking for whump fic when Iâve had a bad week. Iâm not going to forget just how much bad stuff that fic helped me air out, though, not ever. (Not to mention that thanks to all of those abuse!fics, I can recognize an unhealthy relationship at 500 paces, even if the fictional abuse was depicted as something loving and romantic. Abusers in real life donât go around with helpful warning tags on their sleeves anyway.)
But holy shit, can you imagine if Iâd found fandom as it is today.
Yes, your church is right, your family is right. Horrible things in stories are only there because they were written by horrible people, and theyâre only popular because horrible people read them. The very concepts they address corrupt everything they touch.
That shredder in your head, the one that takes innocent cartoons but then shits out sadness and mayhem? Thatâs disgusting, youâre disgusting. How dare you think about minors having underaged sex, you minor? How dare you consider another person getting hurt? Your feelings donât matter, they arenât unique, theyâre shared with all kinds of worthless shitbags just like you.
Every ounce of what you read and write and enjoy is going to be weighed for sin and tested for purity. You know, just like the rest of your life, except this time thereâs no deity whoâs handing out second chances.
Maybe thatâs what bothers me most about all of this. Itâs the same petty fandom bullshit as always, but âyouâre wrong for liking a ship because IT WILL NEVER BE CANONâ is a hell of a lot easier to laugh off when youâre young than âyouâre wrong for liking a ship because YOUâRE AN ABUSIVE PEDOPHILE AND IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS ITâS YOUR FAULT FOR PERPETUATING IT.â
My fault, my bad thoughts, no outlet for any of them. The message to repress all the bad things so I can look like a good person, but my brain is so full of unprocessed shit that itâs solidified. Nobody actually saved any real children, but my brain sure is getting a second dose of fucked-up.
Are the people getting attacked going to be okay, will they be able to go and address their braingremlins somewhere else? Iâd also ask if the people doing the attacking are okay, with all of the denial and repression they must deal with, but it seems like theyâve got venting pretty well handled by taking it out on strangers.Â
Hey, câmon, calm down friends. I bet Iâve read a story thatâs got a character screaming at just the same pitch you are.
It helps to read one of those and harmonize your voices, I promise.
holy shit, dude, this is powerful. iâll delete this reblog if you donât want the extra attention, but thank you for your thoughts. Â
Somebody found the words. Even just *witnessing* the shit going on in the world around you can be hard to process. Having someone show you a road that someone suffered on BUT SURVIVED and kept walking can be massively helpful. Hell, learning how to process when someone *doesnât* survive a trauma is valuable.Â
It's the kind of pain you feel when you think no one is looking.
Like the pain you feel when you see people with friends
Or better yet lovers
Like the pain you feel trapped in a city
too big to call home
Like the pain you feel longing for place
Yet unknown
Like the pain that maybe all you need is affection
But there is no one who can provide any
Like looking at yourself and knowing you can't fix the gaping hole in your heart
But most of all the pain you feel when you think you will never be good enough.
People think loving yourself is easy
When it's the hardest thing you will do
Because it's painful and tiring
And there are days when you want to end it all
But you also made a promise
And it is hard to keep it
Who knew keeping a promise with yourself was harder than keeping it with someone else
Lying is easy and it is also kind
Sometimes all you need is good lie
so that you keep moving forward
It becomes to much at one point obviously
That's why you write a poem at 1.37 in the morning.
Are you you?
Books make me think.Â
Are what we are really, truly us or the amalgamation of everything we see, hear, read?Â
How much of all the knowledge that we acquire shape us?
I mean, I might have read or heard the same words that come out from my mouth and I think it's what's original. What makes me. But is it really that? Am I original or the things left over in my subconsciousness when I forget the original author.
A dating service where matching is based on peopleâs search history exists. Youâre a serial killer. You go on a date with a writer.
Serial Killer: metaphorically, if you were to kill someone, how would you do it?
Writer: Air shot between the toes, itâll look like a heart attack.
Serial Killer who is obviously in love already: *sucks in a breath* ok
Writer: how long would it take to die if you were to potentially stab someone in the guts
Serial killer: anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes
Writer, already bringing a ring out: *shaking* thanks
A++ addition
Writer: *shows the serial killer the murder scene theyâre writing* babe, iâm not sure if this would actually work?
Serial killer: *kisses writer on the forehead and leaves, comes back later, a suspicious scent of blood coming off them* it works baby, youâre doing great
I LOVE THIS
Oh no, murder comedy is my jam
I love this, I love all of this, but quick question, does the author know? Like are they aware that their significant other is a serial killer or do they just think that they have a morbid sense of humor? Itâd be even funnier if the author had no fucking clue, like how Aurthur Conan Doyle was apparently stupidly gullible, and on top of it theyâre a horror or crime novelist. Like the serial killer works at a butcher shop or something so itâs completely normal for them to come home smelling like blood, no murders going on here, no sirey. Just my darling coming back home from a long day at work.
Now fast forward a bit and the author has managed to get their first book published, with loving support from the serial killer who helped them fine tune all the murder scenes, and itâs a big hit. Enough so that a detective with the local police department has noticed some disturbing similarities to several active cases, including details that were never released to the press. Obviously he brings this up to his superior and convinces him that thereâs something to the theory, but itâs all circumstantial right now. He stakes out the authorâs home and is super convinced that the author is the murderer, but they donât seem to do anything??? Like they literally are at the house all day, thatâs it. Most they do is leave for groceries.
So you get this dynamic of the serial killer mining the author for creative murder schemes, the author being lovingly encouraged by the serial killer, and finally the detective who is just so sure that the author is the killer and that if he sticks it out long enough heâll FINALLY have proof.
Plot twist, The serial killer and detective use to go out so it gets sub what personal.Â
âYou need to stop seeing them. I think they are a serial killer.â
Serial killer breaths in. âLook-â

Texting vs Calling for INTJ
Texting
âą More time to construct sentences.
âą Doesnât need to be present (can reply later).
âą Doesnât require 100% concentration (wonât miss what people say since messages can be referred back anytime).
âą Doesnât need to control the tone of voice as to not offend the other party (weâd prefer sounding monotonous though).
âą Doesnât need to control body language as to not offend the other party (can lie down/slouch/sit still).
âą Can leave offline messages anytime.
âą Extra: obviously doesnât require us using our voice.
Overall mental energy used for texting: 30%
Calling
âą Needs to be present at all times or else will miss what the person says.
âą Cannot zone out to think - if it happens accidentally the other party will point out and asks if youâre okay - having to explain youâre okay while not be interrupted by your processing thoughts at the moment.
âą Has to control tone of voice or else the other person is offended - fake emotions projected onto face so the tone sounds realistic - is annoyed by having to fake things just to take care of other peopleâs feelings.
âą Awkward pauses to construct sentences so theyâd sound exactly how they want the meaning to be conveyed - is annoyed that this has to be done quickly as opposed to texting.
âą If earphones or headphones are involved, be prepared to take them with you if you happen to move somewhere else - if forget, ears are pulled annoyingly to the laptop/phone.
âą Having to notify the other party that youâll be away for a bit before being away for a bit - actually, everything has to be notified because the other party will comment on any sounds they hear.
âą Harder way to construct a proper goodbye without offending the other party rather than just say, âgtgâ.
Overall mental energy used for calling: 98%
How to help decrease the mental energy for calling
1. No phone calls right in the morning after the INTJ has just woken up (-5%).
2. No surprise phone calls (-5%).
3. Make sure the INTJ isnât busy doing something else (-10%).
4. Make sure the INTJ has taken care of their basic needs before the phone call is initiated (-10%).
5. Less of âAre you okay?â and âWhatâs wrong?â (-10%).
6. Ask if they want to text instead (-30%).
Donât get us wrong
1. Phone calls are the best when deep talks are involved.
2. We donât hate you. Weâre just grumpy from all the energy used to talk and take care of your feelings.
3. We want you to be happy too.
4. If we complain about how tiring TALKING is, we only want to be empathized and to be told to take care of ourselves. Not you taking it personally and be hurt. :(
5. If we answer your phone calls a lot, and stay for over 10 minutes, we really really like talking to you! That doesnât mean we canât get drained from it, though.
Thank you for reading and understanding us.

BEING AN INTJ: Expectation vs Reality
(Like usual, does not apply to all INTJs)
EXPECTATION:
Evil mastermind.
Good at absolutely everything.
284826 IQ.
Cold and impersonal.
âWhat are feelings? Never head of them.â
Lone wolf.
REALITY:
Being so lost in thought that the world fades into the background.
Having emotions, but not really knowing how to express them without it feeling silly.
Either feeling like you can solve ALL THE MYSTERIES OF THE UNIVERSE or not do anything at all.
Having HUGE epiphanies at the absolute RANDOMEST moments.
Wanting to talk about something youâre passionate about SO BAD but not having anyone who to talk about it with.
Showers/baths = undisturbed thinking time.
Not being able to sleep because your brain never shuts down.
When someone calls you without warning first and you have that a huge mental debate between picking up the call or letting it ring (and usually deciding to let it ring.)
Being so disconnected to your surroundings sometimes that you forget who you are, where you are, and why youâre there.
When you just know something. You donât know how or why you know it, but you just do.
Sometimes your intuition tells you that someone is sketchy, but no one else sees it.
When someone says something SO stupid and SO ignorant you donât know what to do other than stare at them, speechless.
Speaking fluent sarcasm.
Finding a weird comfort in following a schedule.
Looking at someone who is of an xxFx type and wondering, âHow do they let their emotions control them so much?â
When thereâs a thing that needs to be done, but people keep trying to interrupt you.
And, lastly:
Sitting alone somewhere comfortable, drinking tea/coffee, reading a book, and just feeling at peace.
+ Looking up at the stars and feeling at peace, because you can just imagine yourself among them. Itâs so quiet and peaceful up there.
Thereâs something magical and downright peaceful about rainy days and the moments leading up to them. My heart gallops at the sight of thick grey clouds gently being pulled along the white sky like little fingers stretching pieces of off-white cotton candy. I love the way everything slows down and quiets for a moment as the peaceful white noise of the rain softens the normal perception of the world outside. And I find happiness in the the way the water drops from the greenery with grace, and the way the sky rumbles with intensity. Iâll never tire of rain and everything that comes with it.

Anti-trans activists caused a transgender childrenâs charity - Mermaids - to have part of itâs lottery funding suspended. In response, Youtuber HBomberGuy decided to do a non-stop playthrough of Donkey King 64 until getting to 101% completion while donating any money raised to Mermaids.
Highlights: John Romero jumped on the stream and shouted âTRANS RIGHTSâ which caused donations to go wild.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Cher retweeted the stream. AOC seems to have joined the Discord for the stream.
AOC TALKED ON DISCORD IN THE STREAM. She was amazing and so eloquent.
âfuck terfs gangâ getting spammed in chat is cleansing my pores.
Further Update: Neil Gaiman retweeted. Also, they reached $222,222 while HBomberGuy was taking a #2.
Another Update: Matt Mercer retweeted. The chat also just helped pay for a disabled trans personâs wheelchair enough that they could basically buy two wheelchairs.
