Having tf!Legs “background charactering” from others’s POVs as a Legundo main is so funny because like bro has got the Percy Jackson treatment on LOCK.

From his POV, he’s sweet and awkward and a boyfailure. We see his sillies, his goofs, his dumbasseries.

From other’s POV he’s quiet, pragmatic and holds the ability to shut down a lot of other people’s main weapon. He’s a Lorekeeper, which means by the time he’s distributing info it’s been refined. He comes across as Mature for his Age.

And then he gets near tf!Graecie lol and his Wet Cat Energy potential goes through the ROOF.

Seeing people I know and like using AI is making me understand the protagonists of those old time sci fi dystopia's.

You lived on this planet for decades, you know what you like, there are hundreds of websites where you can type into any search engine " things to do in [area]" and have at least a hundred different options.

"Oh I only use it so I can figure out what to make during the week with what I have"

The most popular website as you type in "recipes" into google have sections where you click dinner- quick and easy and those usually rely on staples + 1 or 2 items. I found 30 recipes on chicken alone.

I wanna say, props to Legundo. He said that tf!legs would be focused on healthy rejection, and I did not realize how incredible of a story that is.

I have never experienced anything in my own life similar to this kind of rejection, and it’s so eye opening. Even though its fictional its giving me a really interesting perspective and I genuinely feel like its teaching me something. So thanks Legs for writing that.

Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as “problematic” in class and our professor was like, “That’s cool, but ‘problematic’ doesn’t really mean anything. It means that the thing you’re describing has a problem, and in and of itself that’s not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else it’s not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like you’re trying to say that this is bad, but you don’t want to say ‘bad.’ Is that right?”

So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the “bad” thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, “I’m uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.”

Once we stopped calling things “problematic” and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, “that’s racist” or “that’s misogynistic” or “ew capitalism gross” out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, “Uhhh... I’m not sure what’s so bad?” and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.

Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes it’s art, and it should be full of problems, because that’s what art is.

I headcannon tf!legs as aromantic/arospec and this is my supporting evidence:

- tf!Legs has never expressed romantic feelings towards anyone besides tf!Graecie nor referred to past relationships/crushes, both in lore and out of character (that I know of)

- cc!Legs has stated that tf!Legs has never really been consistently treated with kindness before tf!Gracie, so “of course he’d get attached.” In his journals, he refers to Graecie as an “angel” and seems to view her as someone incapable of imperfection. Now, this may just be the aromanticism in me not understanding what romantic attraction is like, but to me this sounds more like idolization than a true crush

- cc!Legs has also made it clear that the point of his character is to portray someone who gets rejected and doesn’t turn evil because of it. I really like the idea of tf!Legs later (much later) down the line deciding to reintroduce the idea of romance, maybe even experimenting with men, but ultimately coming to the conclusion that romance just isn’t for him
