Events like Speed Dating were always mysterious cause you just never know who could show up. Yes Isabella was single and she was wanting new people. But the idea of meeting them on her own terms. The blind date earlier in week was something that sounded fun and this was one of those things that randomness of people who showed up was perfect for someone whom liked to people watch like she liked to do. "Mainly it was cause my mother wants me to meet new people. But I was hoping the people watching would be worth it at the same time." She smiled sipping her drink.
"Okay so how about you say we just head over to the bar and grab a drink and then watch everyone else act so awkward with one another and we can just enjoy it?" Jeremiah replied to Isabella as he looked at her and then shrugged. In his mind, it sounded like a great idea but he knew realistically it could cause some trouble for the both of them.
"It is one of my favorites here at the country club. So many wonderful dishes here though. I get this when I am not sure what I want to eat. I hope you enjoy it, if you do try it." She smiled softly at the older woman she had met when she first started to hang at the country club once she and the kids moved to Turtle Bay. "How has retirement been treating you? I am wonderful and excited for Summer here in town. Are you doing anything special this year for the warmer months?"
"I think I might have to actually go for it. If something comes highly recommended then I am not the person to turn it down." She explained while looking at the woman and then shrugging. "Retirement is phenomenal actually. I have worked for so many years so I like that I am able to just sit back and enjoy life. I haven't been able to have a good time like that." Deborah replied while shaking her head a bit because she knew what her life had been like. "I am trying to just get out there and do so many different things. How about you? Anything you are looking forward to doing?"

"Everyone is having fun and enjoying themselves," he spoke as he stood by the other his voice deep and a charming smile on his face. Desmond was a social person and he loved having fun and enjoying himself when he was not dealing with work or a million projects. He decided to turn off his phone for once and just enjoy. "Are you not going to join in the line dancing?" he asked with a wink.
Brooks was someone who normally kept to himself and maybe that's why he was so good in the military because he didn't worry about what anyone else was doing and was always focused. Maybe at the end of the day he could be more friendly and outgoing but it was something that was going to come to him with time. "I'm not sure. Line dancing isn't really the best thing for me since people probably don't want to see it." He said as he shrugged. "Are you?"

Location: Founder's Festival (Karaoke Contest).
Isabella had been listening to all of the contestants so far as she noticed the choir director and smiled softly at her. "So out of all the locals here who do you think has a good enough voice to be up there tonight and why?" She finally asked the lady she had met at various events she moved into town. "I ask cause I feel you would know better than anyone here. Maybe that is just me though."
Aaliyah loved to come out and support all of the locals that would come out and do karaoke, especially during the Founder's Festival where people were coming out and doing something that they may not normally do for themselves. "I mean I think that there are a lot of people around here who would sound amazing up there. Not everyone would have the guts to get up there but I have been enjoying it so far. I like to see new people get up in the spotlight and see what they have to offer so I would love someone new that I'm not used to seeing."
"I think that's exactly what it means. I think that if I've been waiting for longer so I think that it's my drink but I mean go for it." Zachary replied to the other as he looked at him. "I'm sure i've been waiting longer and they mentioned that it's a black coffee so it sounds like it was my order." He shrugged softly as he looked at him and then shook his head.
Daxton raised a brow as the male spoke and looked at them before chuckling and shaking his head. "I am just surprise that someone actually enjoys pure black hot coffee just like me," he spoke as the other cup of coffee down. "So Mr. waiting longer, what time did you place your order then?" he asked with a playful tone in his voice.
"Oh wow, really? I'm surprised to hear the same thing actually. I'm not used to having the same coffee order as someone else who is not in their fifties or something because it feels like a very old man thing to order." Zachary explained before nodding. "Oh I don't know the exact time, I didn't think I was going to have to remember it and I told them to toss my receipt because I didn't think I was going to have a test on it." Zach joked.
Closed Starter: Jeremiah Williams @pmanxiety
Location: Founder's Festival. (Speed Dating at Lux)
As soon as her mother heard about the festival in Turtle Bay she looked into the events. The one that caught Victoria Spadafore's attention was the speed dating cause she figured it would be a good way for her daughter to meet other singles. In no way was she wanting to go, yet she had to make her mother happy by at least giving speed dating a chance at least once. To prove she made it to the event, she took a picture of the table she was seated at to send to her mother. As she was sending the text she felt someone sitting across from her and laughed, "Let me guess you are here in suggestion from a friend or family member like I am."
Was Jeremiah technically single? Yes. But his heart really did belong to someone else and he was waiting for her to be ready for a real relationship. He also got conned into doing this by his friends that didn't know about Valeria so they thought they were doing him a big favor by signing him up for the speed dating event during the festival that was taking place. He was looking around as he walked in and then he took a seat where he was told to do so which caused him to smile but then he heard the remark coming from the female and couldn't help but not and let out a small chuckle, "Friends. How about you?"
Nestore’s attention settled on Tobias a little more fully at that, the faint curve at the corner of his mouth lingering for a moment longer this time. "That’s a strangely specific fear," he said, voice low and even, though there was a quiet warmth beneath it. "Being publicly betrayed by ice cream."
His gaze drifted back to the display case, scanning the rows of flavors. He slipped one hand into the pocket of his jacket, shoulders relaxed as he considered the options behind the glass. "I’m still getting dark chocolate," he said after a beat. "But if you’re actually willing to try something different… How about that one?" His eyes shifted toward the sea salt honeycomb again. "It sounds like the kind of flavor you don’t order because you know you’ll love it but because you’re curious enough to risk being wrong. And if you hate it," he added, tone calm and matter-of-fact, "I’ll accept full responsibility."
"I don't see what's wrong with that. I feel like it could be something that happens to a lot of people but they aren't always willing to say it. Not everyone is as proud as I am." He said to Nestore while smiling wide and looking at him. "Oh that does look good. I think that I might have to take your advice and get some dark chocolate. It isn't something that I would normally choose for myself but I guess it would work." Tobias explained to him ad he shrugged. "I'm glad that you will accept full responsibility for it if I don't like it since you pushed me to this edge."
Grace smiled softly at his attempt to explain, the slight uncertainty in his words oddly endearing. "I think that makes perfect sense," she said quietly, her fingers settling around her cup again. "Some places become part of your routine, and some just…feel right on a particular day. I guess this is one of those places for me too." A faint smile touched her lips. "So what about today?" Grace asked. "Was this a random stop…or were you trying to get away from something for a little while?"
"Right it's like something that you enjoy seems like a part of our routine but then something that you don't necessarily enjoy could make you turn away." Reese said to Grace as he looked at the blonde and then smiled a bit. "Since you are asking me, I feel like I should say that this is a random stop but I feel like you're going to see right through me and I might be trying to get away from something... I feel like I shouldn't lie."
Daisy’s smile deepened, as she lifted the stem of her glass and let the ruby-colored wine catch the afternoon light. There was something endearingly polite about the way Deborah hesitated, as though Daisy had offered her something far more precious than a simple taste.
"Debbie," she said softly, her voice carrying that easy, honeyed warmth she reserved for guests she immediately liked, "sharing wine is half the pleasure of drinking it." She rose slightly from her stool and stepped closer, extending the glass between them with a graceful hand. "I promise, you’re not imposing." Her lips curved into a small, knowing smile. "If anything, you’d be doing me a favor. It deserves a second opinion."
"Alright, well then I'm not going to really fight you on that. I feel like you are being super kind and allowing someone you don't know to ty the beverage that you're partaking in." Debbie mentioned to the other and then she smiled as she grabbed onto the glass that was being held out to her. She swirled it around a bit and then sniffed it before taking a small sip of it. "Oh wow, that's awesome. I certainly wasn't expecting something like that. I think it tastes quite well."
"Nothing wrong with sticking to what works," Nestore said, voice low and measured. "Most people spend a lot of time pretending they’re more adventurous than they actually are." The corner of his mouth lifted faintly, more suggestion than smile. "At least you know what you like."
The line moved forward, but he didn’t seem in any rush. "It’s just one of those things that sounds obvious once someone says it." His gaze drifted toward the menu for a moment, then back. "But most people assume caffeine creates motivation. Though I’m not sure it made me any better at sleeping." As they neared the counter, he looked at Skylar again. "Time's up. Have you made up your mind on what you're getting?"
"I guess I would want someone to order something that sounds goof to me and allow me to taste it because I'm not about to waste my money on something. I feel like I should be able to just try whatever I want when I want it." Skylar let out a small laugh as he looked at Nestore and then nodded. "This is true. Like I have something to constantly rely on."
"I know that some people are taking the caffeine to make them more productive but I've also managed to drink an entire red bull or coffee and then take a nap. It's crazy how life works like that. And I realize the more I rely on the caffeine, the more I need it in one sitting in order to function." He fiddled with his thumbs as he knew his time was coming close and he sighed a bit when the other spoke. "Cold brew with two pumps of blueberry and vanilla cold foam." This was something he normally didn't order but he felt under pressure and it caused him to try something new.
There was something strangely uncomplicated about the way Dillon spoke—like he’d already spent enough time trapped inside other people’s expectations to stop letting them dictate him. Sebastian couldn’t decide if he admired that or found it dangerous. Maybe both.
A quiet laugh escaped him at the overheated car comment, and he dropped his gaze briefly, shaking his head. "Yeah," he murmured. "There’s something almost impressive about willingly making yourself miserable like that."
Oddly, the car had always been the one place Sebastian could disappear without anyone asking questions. No cameras shoved in his face, no expectations waiting in the next room, no carefully rehearsed version of himself required for public consumption. Just empty roads, loud music, and enough speed to drown out whatever was clawing around in his head that day.
"I drive," he admitted after a second. "I know that probably sounds predictable." A faint smirk tugged at his lips. "Rich guy with a car addiction. Groundbreaking."
"Sometimes I train until I can’t really think anymore," he continued more quietly. "Sometimes I stay out too late. Sometimes I throw myself into whatever keeps people from asking questions. Mostly, though…" He exhaled softly through his nose. "I just keep moving."
"Right? Like it's amazing that people would do that to themselves but they do and well it just is what it is." Dillon said to Sebastian as he looked at him and smiled softly, thinking about the comment that he had just made and chuckled a bit. Driving around in a car with the music blasting and the wind blowing through your hair was something that Dillon loved the most.
"Rich guy with a car addiction that likes to drive? I mean yeah it's your typical story but I'm certainly not going to be mad about it because if you ever wanted to drive around with someone sitting passenger princess then that's something that I can do." He half joked with the other. He wasn't mad at being the passenger in the car and he knew that he played good music and could navigate to the best ability.
"Ahhh so you are used to just not talking about your feelings and doing anything to distract yourself from having to have to do it?" He asked curiously. "You like to just get through it by going through it?"
Festival Blind Date. 📅
Closed Starter: Bradley Hopkins @pmanxiety
Location: Wine Tasting and Food Trucks at Festival.
One of Isabella's dearest friends since moving to Turtle Bay had been wanting to set her up on a blind date. All she knew about the date is that he was a local who grew up in the area, other than that he was easy on the eyes. Many in the city and area were easy on the eyes. All she knew is that she was wanting to meet someone new and if this was the way to do it, she agreed even if she was crazy nervous about it.
It was as the Uber dropped her off at the Founders Festival, she looked around looking for the meeting location where she would be meeting Bradley Hopkins. She told him in the text messages when they arranged the blind date that she would be wearing an animal print of some sort, she just hoped the dress she was wearing not overdone for the festival. She knew it was one of her favorites and always felt comfortable in it. As she continued walking she felt a tap on her shoulder and looked back. "Can I help you?" She asked not knowing it was Bradley.
Bradley was tired of people who were trying to get to always help set him up with someone. He wasn't upset at the idea of finding someone, but he felt like there was too much pressure for him to find someone right away and be with someone. However, he wanted the idea of a slow burn fall in love with someone love story. He wasn't the sappiest person out there but when he was with someone who he cared about a lot he showed more emotions.
He knew that they had a plan to meet up with one another so Bradley was looking around for someone with animal print on since that's what he was told that she would be wearing animal print so he happened to see someone with a dress that had animal print on it and he decided he was just going to walk up to her and he let his finger tap on her shoulder and when she turned around he threw a smile on his face. "Hi. Yes. I'm Bradley. Are you Isabella?"
The brunette turned and smiled, a huffy laugh dropped her shoulders slightly. "Two very different things. I'm looking for something to hopefully please my mother." Rosie looked at the other side of the shop. "I don't want to say she's picky but - well, no. Picky is the nicer word. I love my mama. She has this need to be seen a certain way."
"Something to please your mother." Julianna repeated quietly as she looked at her and then thought about some things that may be good for this opportunity in which the brunette was searching for. "That's understandable. I know what you are trying to say. I know some people out there who think the same exact way that you do." She responded to the other.
"I really hope not, because he's my baby and I can't get around on public transportation at 3 am for an emergency." She said with a smile. " I can totally wait around, or I can get some coffee. Would you like some?" Meg asked.
"I completely understand. I mean I don't even want to use public transportation to begin with. I really like to just have the choice to travel whenever I want and not have to wait on the schedule of the public transportation schedule." Tobias chuckled a bit and then he nodded when she asked the coffee question. "I would love one. i drink it with just a little bit of creamer."
"Not allergic to nuts, thankfully." He said to her as he looked at the blonde woman and then smiled softly and then looked back at the freezer that had all of the ice cream in it. "I feel like mint chip might be a good idea honestly. I haven't had mint in a long time and It's not something that I enjoy often." He replied to the woman and then laughed softly.
"That's good," Maggie smiled and shifted with the few others in line, "then I am definitely going to recommend stopping by Nellie's and grabbing some Baklava."
"Some Baklava sounds absolutely lovely honestly. That sounds like it would really hit the spot. Something that I haven't had in a long time that I've been missing is some tres leches cake. It's so hit or miss wherever you get it. But it can be so fantastic." Tobias explained.
There was a smile that graced his lips the moment that he saw her. Thinking about her question now, knowing that there was a couple of courses that he could do. He could either cook with her or take her out. "Actually how about we go out? I would love to show off my Meemaw." Dylan suggested, he loved his grandmother and he would always be thankful to her in more ways than just one. She had became a parent to him after losing his own how did. "We can even go somewhere fancy."
"Oh really? You want to take little 'ole me out? What should I wear? Is it going to be something fancy or should I just dress casual?" She asked her grandson who was so close with her since she had taken him in when he was young. "I am fine with going anywhere but I have to make sure that I look good wherever we go because you never know who might be looking at your Meemaw." She said to him and then giggled a bit.
