I’m trying to be more active here so here’s another thought, I saw like this popular headcannon of Preston being hard of hearing and I headcannon Dolph being really good at hearing to the point he’s sensitive to the loud noises so just imagine them talking it’s just like Preston shouting everything and Dolph wanting him to shut up but not saying it because he’s too nice and it’s lowkey been a while since someone has talked to him willingly

One of my takes is that Nikki being the camps brainrot kid is mischaracterization and the result of the stereotype of every hyperactive child character has to have an iPad in their hand.

Imo Nikki would be the opposite of chronically offline, she wouldn’t understand six seven or anything like that. She’d laugh but not get it. Because she canonically hates being inside and would rather play outside!! She’s hyper and wild!!

Tbh I think Neil would be more online but would hate any brainrot and would refuse to teach Nikki about it even if she asked. Nerris would also be chronically online because they canonically do online dnd sessions and stuff. Nerris would be that weird kid who’s on amino and tumblr wayyy too early. Preston I feel would keep up with online trends but not really give 2 shits about brainrot or whatever.

Max I feel like could be chronically online too but I feel like he’d be a massive rage baiter or just the lurker type. Out of the main three I actually feel like Nikki would be the LEAST online ! Just by judging by personality and home life. Nikki can easily entertain herself, she doesn’t need the dopamine from technology. Neil canonically depends on technology in the way of being attached to his computer. Max is fine being off of a device if he has a friend around, which causes him to be on his phone a lot during the school year.

I feel like the flowerscouts are also a little chronically online. Like they’re the type to be texting while you’re talking to them.

giving birth sucks tbh. not only do you and the baby you’re birthing almost die, usually you shit yourself and often you tear your taint. then you have to push an organ out of your body (placenta) and if even a little of that remains in your body, you can hemorrhage to death or develop an infection that essentially rots your body from the inside out. even if you had a relatively “easy birth”, you bleed for weeks on end. even after that stops, your body and brain is changed for the rest of your life, the pregnancy leeched minerals from your bones, that can cause osteoporosis later. minor urinary incontinence is not uncommon, brain scans of people who gave birth show permanent changes in their brain, you’re never quite the same.

I say all of this not to say giving birth is disgusting but it is a harrowing and visceral experience. society downplays how fucking awful it is and makes it out to be a ~magical~ experience but it isn’t a magical transformative experience for everyone. it can be an extremely traumatic experience for someone who wanted to carry a pregnancy to term, much more so for someone who did not want to be pregnant in the first place or someone who knows their baby won’t survive the birth. anyway, abortion is a right. pregnancy and birth aren’t just inconvenient, it’s fucking awful.
