IM...BACK?

aaaand maybe you can ignore that last post from awhile back?? my other blog is actually @poetry-ablaze now (yep i’m indecisive i know) but i’m feeling a better vibe from this acc so i’ll post some stuff here again for awhile and see how things go :)) some of the poems might be repetitions of original stuff on @poetry-ablaze and honestly if the repetitions don’t get the same recognition i won’t really care because i just need to see my words concentrated in one safe spot. if you see this THANK YOU it’s hard for me to feel like my poetry reaches anybody sometimes so all my love goes out to you!

i didn’t really mean it when i said i was sorry, didn’t really feel like i was making things worse. as selfish, naive, and dumb as this may seem, i was just trying to see if you’d realize that it was you who was making me feel this pain in higher clarity. -"sorry"

my finger’s out, at the ready for blaming, but in a heartbeat it’s swiveling of its own accord. like a compass it’s turning, and then suddenly i’m staring right down the tip

your heartbeat quickens to match that of the clock ticking because go with the flow is ingrained into your mind.

“i’ll come back for you,” you say, and then you’re gone without a backward glance, spinning, spinning away into a life without me.

i’ll never quite understand what was wrong with just “us” or what was wrong with just staying right by my side.

we’re all down on our knees heads lifted to the heavens begging for someone to hurry and help mend our broken pieces

unchecked vines spilling over the already overflowing gardens yellowing leaves swaying to that familiar, sinister wind without a warning it pulls me back towards you and once again i am an unwilling accomplice

when your world rocked back and forth, when your seasick heart would not stop rattling, when the stars in the sky dropped down to spin around you, i grabbed your hand. i wanted to be your anchor.
