I have never been one to pick up nasty habits. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life. I only drink on occasion and never get really drunk. Then I found you and, god, I can't put you down. I can't get enough of your smoke in my lungs and being drunk has never felt so good.

I remember when you first Said those three words I remember the feeling of Knowing exactly what you Would say to me I remember how painful it was To sit there and wait for You to speak I remember the anticipation Of what I knew to be the start Of how I would keep you in My heart for the rest of my life I still remember when you first You strung the words Together so harmonically As if you knew exactly how To form your lips in a way So beautiful, so sweet Like you knew how to speak So that you made me feel Like everything would be okay I still remember when you first Said those three words: "Let me explain"

And it still haunts me to this day.

Today at church there Was a water baptism And a kid devoted his Life to God and accepted Him as his lord and Saviour and he was Dunked under the water And when he came out He was made clean. So I wonder, if I devote My life to you and accept You as my lord and saviour Will you dunk me under Your love and make Me new again?

Please let me be made new in you.

I have never been good at goodbye. So I won’t say it. And I have never been good at caring. So I won’t show it. And I was never taught how to love. So I won’t do it. And that’s why we didn’t work. So now it’s over.
