new prime asset oc.

originally a reagent, his bloodthirst and snitch like tendencies interested easterman to the point of creating a new prime asset. the rat eventually angers easterman after failing to capture reagents. the removal of his human ears and replacement with fake, almost cartoonishly large rat ears was his punishment. "if you cannot hear the reagents, i will give you the tools to do so."

while he is deaf, he'd be one of the only prime assets to be able to see in the dark. effectively giving him "enhanced" senses, so to speak. he fully believes that he has regained his hearing when in reality he experiences major auditory hallucinations.

for the family dynamic that the prime assets play into, he'd unashamedly be the pet. i believe gooseberry would love him. i have yet to get around to drawing it but i imagine her sitting with him curled up in her lap and her steadily petting along his back. the others? i'm not too sure yet. franco would see him as a toy, maybe. how kids will kick their dogs just to see what happens. perhaps coyle would be the "dad who didn't want a pet then comes to be the pets biggest fan" in a sense that he openly mocks and boasts about how he hates the rat only to allow the guy to get close and sit near him. maybe he pets him in secret. the twins i have no idea. i hardly understand them yet.

he fully plays into the animal dynamic. he sleeps on the ground curled up. he gets fed like an animal. he does not argue or fight if he's treated like one. and while he does still speak to reagents sometimes he does forget that animals don't speak. sometimes he won't speak at all. he cannibalizes and feeds off downed reagents like they're prey. or perhaps a large piece of cheese.

anyway. these are just some ideas i've had. there's more if anyones interested
