finally time for the first face you see in palia to get her own turn--here's Jina in swimwear!
it probably doesn't really look like it, but i spent more time trying to figure out how i wanted to translate her fit into a swimsuit than i did for any of the others so far. i went through so many variations before landing on this! it definitely doesn't show but the biggest potential variations came from her hair--i tried one puff which just felt wrong, then two puffs but with a red tailed headband to nod to her red ascot … all just to land back on her canon hairstyle lmaooo. i ended up giving her a little red bow necklace as the ascot reference instead! and, it also just didn't feel like Jina without a jacket, so i tied it around her waist. Hekla probably made her bring it along in case she got cold lol

It's years before the humans arrive in Palia, and Kilima Village is just... empty... and dull... The only young adults around are Kenyatta, Nai'o, and Hassian. Though Kenyatta and Nai'o were best friends when they were kids, in the past several years, they've drifted apart. After all, according to her mother, "the future of governance in Kilima doesn't have time to play in the dirt with a boy from the farm".
But one afternoon, in the hay loft of the central stables, Kenyatta and Nai'o take some time to... reconnect.
But it's not a big deal. It's just sex. They're just having some fun. They both know they won't end up together... Right?
This is a Kenyatta/Nai’o fic that’s set in the same timeline as Sunshine and Rain and Crime & Self-Inflicted Punishment.
Every chapter is going to be a smut chapter. In this fic, I’m really pushing myself to explore sex scenes as a narrative tool and a way to explore characters.
Though it starts with just Kenyatta and Nai’o, as more Majiri move into the village, the pair will definitely take the opportunity to explore more connections, both together and independently.
Like my other stories in this timeline, Room to Grow will focus on the canon NPCs. I have no plans to add any major OC’s (human or otherwise).

Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.
If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.

A fun thing with drawing the characters is that you notice things in their design you don’t otherwise. I never noticed all the patterns on Elouisa’s jacket until I’d committed myself to drawing them, for example. And also I’d not noticed that she wears her hair very similar to how Reth does - in sort of bundles/multiple ponytails with a low tie, over a headband. She just ties it more loosely than he does and with just one tie at the bottom.
Here’s Sifuu from the game Palia by Singularity 6. She’s the town blacksmith and a former monster beastie hunter. I love how boisterous and friendly she is.
