Rereading the legendborn cycle means realizing Nick has been looking for a reason to crash out from the get and he really don’t play about Sel let alone Bree. Let anyone say one thing and he will make himself a nuisance. Slamming the former Lancelot Scion onto that wall? Like Nick emphasizing in Oathbound that Sel was Bree’s King’s mage fries me. Like she didn’t even mention Larkin or know who he was and he still made sure Bree knew who actually occupied that post. Like he’s so funny to me.
