blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll

it is actually kind of ridiculous to me that so many white queer people won't watch or read something about people of color unless there's some aspect of relatability related to identity (ex: race, gender, sexuality, etc) in there. and it's not bad to actively seek out media you'll relate to, but oftentimes in these instances it comes at the expense of characters of color being flattened or sidelined in their own stories because a white person who wanted to be centered in a story that's not about them decided some other aspect of the narrative is more important. and it is both exhausting and irritating to constantly watch it happen.

Something about Christopher Nolan shooting The Odyssey in only IMAX film sits kinda weird with me. Like what do you mean everyone else who doesnt have access to the 41 big IMAX screens (34 of which are in the North American continent (there's only 1 screen that size in Australia (where I live), 6 in the continent of Europe, and NONE in African/Asian countries)) will not be able to see the full frames of the movie? Will not be able to see the whole movie as intended?? Feels... I don't know. Elitist?? Classist? Definitely giving me something and it's both feeling weird and icky.
