Kate laughed a bit at that. “I’m too broke to afford my own drinks, so I was hoping one of these desperate men would buy me some. I can handle a bit of flirting with them if it gets me drunk,” she joked. “Finals week just ended and I really need to destress.”
“A student,” Pamela observed,” Well, at least your finals are done. What are you going to school for?”
kylerainer:
KYLE HANDS OVER THE GLASS to the woman, and grins. “Now you should taste it to try and guess what could be in it! I’ll tell you one thing that’s not in it though, whisky. There’s also a little bacardi in that.” He lifts his own drink up to his lips, taking a sip of it. “This place does need livening up, sad isn’t it?”
She was down for this game. She lifted the glass to her lips to take a sip from it, but the tones of the drink weren’t anything she really could identify. It didn’t really matter, however, because it was good.
“No clue,” she said, but taking a decent chug from the glass anyway. Turning to look at him after the drink,” So does the handsome stranger have a name?”

If this was a test Valentina wasn’t sure she’d pass. Still, she took the seat with a smile on her face and waved towards the bartender. “I’ll have some red wine, and could you please get her a refill of whatever it is she just had? Thanks.” She turned back to the woman with a small smile on her face. “Does that count as cheating?”
The way she handled the situation was the last thing that Pam expected. It was clever, and definitely made her stand out from any other person Pam had attempted the trick on.
“Cheating?” she said, thinking on it a moment,” Yes. Definitely cheating. But I’m impressed so we can let it slide. Cheating makes things far more interesting.”
She took the fresh drink from the bartender and raised it for her to clink her drink to, a mild celebration of passing the first test. She could prove far more entertaining than any guy Pamela had been on the hunt to pick up.
“So tell me,” she continued,” What brings you? Drinking away your woahs? Looking for a hook up? Simply wanting to impress gorgeous redheads at the bar for kicks?”

“ALRIGHT I’LL SURPRISE YOU.” Kyle grins as he turns to head over to the bar. He wasn’t exactly a bartender, but with his experience owning a bar he had a good idea for what tastes good with what. He was going to order the woman something special. He does just that, getting them both one – a mix of a few different things before heading back over.
“Alright big boy,” she said as he walked back,” What have you brought me?” She took the offered glass from him, eyeing it briefly to see if she could identify it before he gave her the answer,” I hope it’s something good, because this bar could really use some livening up... sober is not the way to do that.”

Kate sat down with a laugh. “I hope you’re right,” she said, glancing around at the other patrons. As of right now, she had seen a few guys eyeing her, but none had made a move. “I’m Kate,” she replied. “So Pamela, what brings you here? Besides the possible free drinks I mean.”
“Mostly the drinks,” she joked. Although she likely wouldn’t have shared it, this girl seemed far too innocent to give the truth. She made a show of looking around the bar around them,” And the men. They’re usually a bit more predatory than they are tonight. It’s a bit disappointing, honestly.” Turning her eyes back to the woman,” What about you?”
zeezatanna:
“I’m not against healthy competition… but I think it might be more fun to team up! It drives men crazy thinking they can get two women at once, then they make total fools of themselves.” She giggled, scrunching up her nose at the thought of how ridiculous men could be when a little drunk and faced with a pretty woman.
“Perfect,” Pamela said with a sly grin. She motioned to a man in the corner openly undressing them with his eyes,” We’ve got pervert Tom in the corner there. He’s been trying to get up the nerve to come say hello for a good 20 minutes now. With the two of us talking it might be a little bit longer.”
She motioned behind her,” Cutie here with the blue eyes is way too drunk to not be handsy, but he’s got a nice ass and could be a lot of fun to mess with.” And then she turned to the bartender who was dropping off a drink for each,” And then there’s this handsome fella.” He grinned at her,” He’s been bringing drinks far stronger than he should, and I’m feeling like I owe him a thank you.” It helped that she’d infected the bartender with her newest serum, but that wasn’t important.
Turning to look at the woman again,” So what do you think? Pick our poison.”

KYLE IGNORES THE FACT THE other man was probably watching them after he ran off. “I was keen on the drinks, always looking for a good drinking partner.” He says with a grin as he takes a sip of the liquid in the glass of his.
Pamela smiled at him,” Just drinks? Why not both?” Then after a moment she said,” We can start with drinks. Why don’t you surprise me?” She tilted her head toward the bar indicating he should head up there and order her something. It would give her a decent amount of time to size him up, and see what she could glean about him and his personality in how he ordered.

Raven let out a sarcastic laugh from her lips. “Just a blind can’t see the way that the hot blond are looking at him, And since my booty call are unavailable today so why not?”she shake her head and sip on her drink. She look angry when the woman took her drink. She abruptly take the glass back. “This is mine,not yours. Go buy your own drink”she said rude. She take a deep breath and sigh trying to calm her nerves. “Listen I have a long list of issues with the law I don’t want to added another one on the list”she said. “Sorry to be rude. I’m not in a good day”.
Pamela didn’t insist on holding the drink, if the woman wanted to drink herself into a coma then she wasn’t going to stop her. It was almost laughable her confession about having a ‘long list of issues’ with the law. If she knew who she was talking to, then she may have known there was no comparison.
“Being rude won’t get you laid, hun,” Pamela retorted, content to just let her stumble away if she so chose. While she would be the perfect candidate to take home to her little pet, she didn’t think it was worth the trouble getting her there, nor was it as fun.

Harley watched Pamela rise and followed her with her eyes, her hands reaching for the food in front of her. Serious conversation or not, she was hungry, and this baby could eat. She tried to come up with what to say next, to find the right way to talk to Pam, but with Joker involved she knew nothing would really work. Pamela would continue to look at her the way she was now. “Oh come on Pammy, it’s just a baby. It’s not gonna bite until I teach it to.” Humor, she would try to fix the situation with humor.
When that didn’t work she dusted off her hands over the plate and rose, following Pam to the other side of the room and leaning against the plant-stand. “What’s it gonna take for ya not to be mad at me anymore? I can get you a tree? Say pretty please?”
It wasn’t even the baby she was mad about. It was the fact that the father was an abusive asshole that she couldn’t stand and that Harley couldn’t seem to break away from. While the humor would normally be appreciated, in this moment it left a bitter taste on Pam’s tongue.
Ignoring her plea to appease her anger, Pamela didn’t look at her but continued with the plant. In a very calculated manner she said,” I think you should probably go. I need some time to process this, and I don’t really trust what I could say to you.”

As she’d predicted, the easiest way to end her hell of a week had been to find a trashy bar with the intent of getting totally smashed. Zatanna wanted to dance, but things got a bit dizzy and lightheaded with her last drink, so she’d headed over to the bar- luckily she was still steady enough in her heels to do so without falling- and found a seat next a pretty redhead. Giving her a stunning smile and a laugh, Zatanna leaned a little closer.
“I love fun. I don’t buy drinks on principle, though, sooo- we’ll have to get someone else for that part.”
Pamela smiled at the woman,” What sort of fun do you enjoy? Did we want to team up and see how much money we can get one man to spend.... or are you more the healthy competition sort where we tally just how many we can get wrapped around our little finger?”

“Good because I’m here for the drinks,not for you. Don’t be upset”Raven said full with sarcasm and rolled her eyes at the other redhead. She asked for an strong drink for the bartender. He gave her the drink and she thanked him. “Don’t be so full of yourself,darling. I already had an eyes on someone else”she said sipping on her drink and walk into a table.
Pamela’s eyes narrowed on the woman. She would have been totally fine with her just not taking interest, but the little comments were enough for her to be okay not letting her just walk away.
She stood up from her own seat in time to see her hit the table in an attempt to walk away,” Are you sure you have your eye on someone? It looks like you can’t even see two feet in front of yourself.” She took a step forward to pull the glass from the woman’s hands,” Clearly, you’ve had enough.”
It looked like she got her free drink after all.

Sara had her own bottle in her hand when she made her way over to the only other lonely woman in the bar that night. “Can I be honest with you?” She asked. “Same.” A smile crept up on her lips as she took a seat next to the other. “I’m Sara. Captain of Fun. Don’t ask to see my ID, I haven’t gotten that part on there yet. Sort of a work in progress..”
The confidence this woman approached with was rather enticing. Pamela had expected some knuckle dragging man to come over as soon as the open seat was noticed, but the beautiful blonde was a very welcome surprise.
“Pamela,” she said in introduction,” I think, with the two of us, we could get a hefty following tonight. More alcohol than we could possibly need, and plenty of men to have a little fun with. The question is, can you handle it?” She was only half joking, but having two hot women to pull a few eyes could be more than helpful.

Kate blinked at the woman for a moment, not sure what to make of it. “Well, I guess we’re at a standstill here. We both want free drinks, but one of us will have to buy them.” she joked. She had come to the bar for much the same reason, as she was too broke to afford a bottle to drink at home. However, the fish weren’t biting, so she had decided to try her luck with the other woman standing by herself at the bar.
Pamela grinned at the woman a moment, almost like an adult amused by something a child had said,” And why would we do that. There’s more than enough sleazy men in this bar looking to impress girls like us. We don’t need to pay for drinks as long as that remains a fact.”
She motioned for her to sit down,” Don’t you worry, we’ll have more than enough attention and free booze soon enough.” After a pause she added,” I’m Pamela, by the way.”

KYLE WOULD BE LYING if he says he doesn’t like going to bars. Of course perhaps that was obvious to anyone that knows him since he does have one off Earth over on Mogo after all. He managed to pull himself away from some artwork to go get a few drinks. He saw someone sitting alone though so he approaches her.
He pulled away from the bar with his drink as he walks by to hear a woman telling a man to keep walking if he wasn’t looking for some fun. He watches as they walk off rather quickly. “Scared him off I’d say.”
Her eyes went from the man making his quick leave to the one speaking after. She tilted her head, looking at him a half second before saying,” Scared him off, but seemed to have drawn your interest. Which was it? The few drinks or the good time?”

With Yelena back at her house Valentina had wanted her to feel as at home as possible, that had somehow turned to Val leaving every once in a while to give Yelena a bit of privacy. It was how she’d somehow ended up at a bar of all places.
Val nodded between the woman and the chair. “Seems like a small price to pay for a seat.” She shrugged. “What are you having?”
Pam took a moment to size her up once more, when she confirmed she’d be paying for a drink. Then, with a smile she motioned to the open seat and responded,” Why don’t you surprise me. They say you can learn a lot about a person from what they drink, and I’d love to get to know you.”

Harley knew there would be those unhappy with the news, she expected it– she was prepared. Well, she thought she had been but the truth was she was no where near prepared when it came to Pam.
For a moment she wondered if she should answer the question, if she should say anything at all. All this was going to lead to was another fight, another disproving look from Pamela and another tug at Harley’s heart.
She knew it was selfish… but she wanted Pamela to be happy for her… happy for them.
“Five months.”
“Five months,” Pam echoed. Not only was Harley pregnant, but she waited five months to tell her. It was true they hadn’t seen each other in a long time, but she could have reached out for something as important as this. It only added to Pam’s anger, to know that her friend had kept this information from her. If she hadn’t invited her to this dinner, would she have ever told her? Or would Pam just one day hear through the grapevine... or see her holding the baby.....
She wanted so badly to scream at the blonde. To just pelt her with the thoughts running through her, but she bit her tongue. Instead, she turned her back to go and tend to some plants across the room. She didn’t even know what to say to her, and part of her hoped she would just go, let her process the information, but she didn’t think she’d do that either.
