had my upper endoscopy yesterday, it went well and was less scary than i thought it was going to be. everything looked normal but they took some biopsies to test for a few things. i got a smoothie after, it was really good.
met with my GI doctor the other day to talk about my gastroparesis and what our next steps are. i’m also going this coming monday to be put to sleep for an upper endoscopy just to see if i have anything else going on on top of my gastroparesis. i’m very nervous to be put to sleep. i always cry right before.
here’s a picture of my AFO’s, they came a couple months ago, i just haven’t posted them. i ended up going with music notes for the pattern last minute.
kind of gave up on my finch app i had like a 170 something day streak and lost it, now i’m completely discouraged and don’t want to do it anymore. i do really miss sending my friends hugs on there though.
Reminder for this April that the puzzle piece is not inherently bad. It wasn't created by Autism Speaks, rather by National Autistic Society in 1963, made to symbolize that autism was a "puzzling" condition. Many autistic people especially higher support needs folks rely on the puzzle piece's visibility and awareness for safety. Don't judge people solely by what symbol they use or prefer, there's far more important things to focus on this month.
one of my favorite pastimes is blasting depressing music in my headphones while watching a show from my childhood on the tv
there is nothing lemon squeezy about any of this
i went and had a gastric emptying study yesterday and results showed delayed gastric emptying. my doctor said with my symptoms combined with the results of my scans that i have gastroparesis.
Just so everyone knows, an autistic person genuinely liking things you deem childish is not in fact ‘infantilizing autism.’ Some people just like that stuff, and autistic people are more likely to have ‘unusual’ interest per the literal diagnostic criteria. Let people live their life.
got fitted for my afo’s today :) i have an appointment in a little less than a month to pick them up!
i’m getting fitted for afo’s in a little over a week and i’m not sure what pattern i should get on them. these are the options i’m going between. which one do you guys think?
it’s my birthday!! 🎈
if anyone has to finch app and wants to be friends let me know!
seeing my doctor on the 9th of this month and we’re going to talk to him about switching from my smo braces (which are too small anyways) to afo braces. i’m hoping to get more support from afo’s than my smo’s are currently providing me.
