Pokemon. Project: Classic Rock

Working on a Pokemon hack emulator, based on the idea of merging Classic Rock with Pokemon. . Here I will be posting my progress. Ideas and wip graphics and the like. . This is going to take a while. I don't know when it's going to be finished. . I'd love to hear any outside ideas or opinions or positive criticism. .

Are you only doing British bands? It'd be totally cool if you got this bad boy off the ground and then made like the Johto region - The world in Pokemon gold and Silver as America. i'm literally imagining bands like The Doors, The Beach Boys, Creedence Clearwater revival, The Stooges. The list goes on. What you've got so far looks sick and sounds hella cool. Keep on chooglin

whoa what if u had a like battle house thing where u had to battle each of the monkees one by one and if u beat them all u get a special item

No, that's totally an awesome idea! And these prompts sort of got me thinking of having a battle frontier sort of optional thing post-story where you battle through each of the bands united, like that... i guess. Which would also mean you get to battle rockstars that weren't gym leaders like Jonesy and Brian for example.

My idea for starters: The Kanto starters. I mean, Bulbasaur is Grass/Poison, so it'd fit the psychedelic part(flower child). Charmander's final form is Fire/Flying, and flying is like breaking free(rocker). And Squirtle just fits the mod theme for some reason. Another idea: A trainer named Ozzy with three Zubat, two Golbat, and a Crobat.

Yeah the kanto starters do fit quite well. Applying them to the three classes works nicely! They seem like the simplest and best way to go, honestly.

Janis and Jimi should have shinies(psychedelic artists + bright colors). Since it's Gen 1-3, what starters do we choose from?

Oh that's an awesome idea!! I look at the shiny options for their teams.

I havent decided quite yet on the starters.... maybe when i get further into this i'll take a poll to see which ones people would prefer... Which ones would you like to have? [im quite fond of gen II. OOh! what if you choose from one starter from each gen!! like between squirtle, cyndaquil, or treecko!? idk... just a spontaneous thought.]

Brian May and JPJ as the museum guys is absolutely perfect

I know right! They also play into the storyline with legendary pokemon. You go and talk with them to get info about them, the histories and where and how to catch them.

Good idea! Duely noted. Anyone have a certain leader and pokemon that should be a shiny? Or maybe have the elite four each have a shiny on the team....? I'll definitely look into this.
