Do you have friends or family?
I mean, it’s been a while since I’ve seen my family, due to the extensive work hours I mentioned previously. There’s also the fact that I’m either living inside the lab or out somewhere on Earth for moths at a time. It’s difficult to have a social life outside of work.
This is what I remember of my parents. My father is a governor, which means I wouldn’t be able to see him often even if I was still living at home. And my mother is a secretary for a different governor who I never bothered to learn about. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen either of them.
This is Alfred, my step-brother. I’m not sure what happened to his mother before my mother stepped into the picture of his family and had me, but he’s never mentioned her, so I don’t ask. I haven’t seen him in a while either. He’s a soldier, a guard for the government. But I remember that he was always happy and ready to be the older brother.
This is Francis, one of my close friends. He’s several years older then me, so he’s more like a older brother, but he’s way too mischievous. He teaches about religion, but when he’s not on the job he’s not exactly professional. But he’s a great friend, and I miss being able to see him more often.
And this is Gilbert, my other best friend. He’s a soldier on the space station, though he often accompanies me on my trips to Earth to make sure I don’t accidentally get myself killed. He’s kind of like how I remember Alfred, always happy and kind of mischievous. He’ definitely the closest friend I have.
This is Lukas. I wouldn’t call him… a friend since he’s more of an acquaintance, but he’s still fun to talk to sometimes. He’s a Psychiatrist, so we don’t regularly interact unless we try to. It’s not often.
And this is Kiku, another one of my acquaintances. We went to a scientific institution together, and he was one of the only people who talked to me there up until we went on our separate paths to get our degrees. He became a nurse and I became a scientist. Nowadays we rarely talk due to him being so concentrated on his job.
This is Soo Jin. She lives on Earth, so I’ve only seen her face a few times and even then I don’t remember her super well. She’s an archeologist who regularly works with Francis to collect artifacts and inform the space station of Earth.
And finally… there’s Allen. I’ve never seen his face before, but he’s a person who lives on Earth near Soo Jin. She hooked me up in communication with him, explaining that she thinks I may be able to shut him up. The guy is absolutely obsessed with plants, so during some of my free time I tell him all that I know. To be fair to Soo Jin… he never really shuts up. He hates the space station, but he loves plants so much that he’s willing to talk to me. Though... I haven’t heard from him in quite a while.
So there’s everyone I know.
