Describe Jackson

He's a nightmare. Emotionally constipated. Manipulative, controlling, possessive, spiteful, vindictive. Unable to communicate his feelings or express them in an appropriate manner. A total train wreck, to put it honestly. But, he's also the only person able to accept all my own flaws as I do his. We're no romantics. Our relationship isn't beautiful. I can't romanticise all his actions, nor can he mine. But I love him. I'm in love with him. What we have works.

He's my soulmate. And maybe, hopefully, we can do better for each other.

Jackson stopped front of the door, waiting for a second before pushing it in, closing it behind him quietly. As he crossed the hallway and stepped into the living room, his lazy smile change into a suspicious expression in a second. “Hi.”Jackson glanced at Polly who was staring back at him with her huge, blue doe eyes, nervously shifting his balance from one leg to another. Before he could ask, a small face peaked out behind her, holding her little hands front of her mouth. “Hi daddy.”Her little voice was muffled from her hands and when Jackson waved her closer, she sigh dramatically before slowly approaching. Jackson took her tiny body in his arms and lifted her up. He only needed to look at her all creamy face to know that she and her mother were guilty. “I believe I said no sweets before dinner.”

Polly cursed under her breath, lightly slapping a palm to her forehead when little Holly peeked out from behind her. The child couldn't save herself for the world, her guilt written in all the cookie crumbs, and additionally a mouth full of them. Now they were both in it. She let her teeth sink into the flesh of her lip, gauging Jackson's reaction from her place in the hall. "You did, honey," Polly assured, now attempting her own innocent smile, "—-but one or two couldn't hurt, right?" A muffled, high pitched, "right," resonated from the child, and as the blonde gingerly approached her husband and girl, she shot the little one a look of warning. One that said, shut it, kid, I got this. Her kiss met Jackson's cheek, the same smile still beheld by her lips, "plus, Holly's been a very good bear today."

"Holly Evelyn Marshall," the taller blonde hissed, pushing messy strands of hair, or at least trying to, away from her face. The girl immediately paused, sliding her hands behind her back before flashing an innocent smile. "Yes, mom?" Polly reached around, quickly snapped up Holly's hands, and pried them open gently. "Five cookies? Five? Little bear, I've already given you three. And we both know even you can't eat that many." The child, in response shook her head. "Okay, but, I made my bed today and read my books and, " —-Polly cut her off. "And dad will be home soon and then," —-the door opened, the sound of feet rounding the corner. Simultaneously, Holly shoved two cookies into her mouth. With a stern shake of her head, Polly rose, moving herself in front of the smaller girl, waiting expectantly.
