The video of Mr Reid getting a finger up the ass so you all can appreciate the sound he makes š
Something my archaeology professor said today,
āWhenever we study history, they always teach us about the wars! The warās thisāand the warās thatā but thereās so much more to history than that. Itās important to learn what has defined us as humans, and the wars have never defined us. They have only separated us.ā
Sex is not a chore! Sex is not something you have to do to make your partner happy! Sex is something you do ONLY if you want to do it.
Never treat sex like a must, never think that you have to have sex with someone just for them, never think that you have to have sex in order to prove your support for a particular group, this shit is serious and traumatizing.Ā
Especially donāt go around saying itās okay to have sex to please the partner if you donāt want to! You are spitting really harmful and traumatizing rethoric (which, by the way, is what people have been saying to women forever, that we cannot enjoy sex and should have it only to please our male partners, and that we donāt even get to have exclusively female partners.)
Donāt bully and harass people for not wanting to date/ have sex with certain people!
Stop calling people bigots for their sexuality!
Stop promoting rape rhetoric!
Stop hiding your homophobia behind pseudo progressive language!
STOP! TELLING! PEOPLE! TO! HAVE! UNWANTED! SEX!

for people who canāt watch the video: THE AMYGDALA CHANGES TRADITIONALLY FOUND IN MOTHERS SHOW UP IN ALL PRIMARY CAREGIVERS REGARDLESS OF SEX
Changes in this part of the brain were previously used to previously used to argue that women are the ideal primary caretakers of children in all cases. And apparently, itās false. The reason they found these changes in women was that women were already the primary caretaker in almost all cases, not because thereās something inherent to women that makes them better parents.
this is big news for SAHF and single dads!
Regardless of sex AND regardless of relation to the baby - that is, adoptive primary caregivers showed the same changes, too. Which means not only are men just as capable of being excellent caregivers for their babies as women are, but that biological parents who chooseĀ not to take care of a baby wonāt develop those changes but adoptive parents who doĀ choose to do so will.Ā
Providing love and care for a child is what makes you a good parent: not what you have in your jeans or your genes.

Care to talk about how anti-LGBT Palestinians are? Everyone seems to be just glossing over that fact
Yes GLADLY because I absolutely hate how often pro-Israel ppl use pinkwashing (please read that link if you donāt know what pinkwashing is and how Israel has constantly used it as part of its global image agenda) to justify genocide and war crimes. Iāll let you guys read that article because it does more justice to explaining this than I can.
First, itās really dumb to expect colonized nations to develop socially. Palestine was occupied by the British and then by the Israelis. Now hereās something most people actually gloss over: anti-sodomy laws and anti-homosexuality laws were put into place in Gaza by the British Mandate Criminal Code Ordinance, No. 74 of 1936. Which still remains in effect to this day.
Same-sex acts were actually decriminalized in Jordanian-controlled West Bank in the early 1950s and are still upheld to this day.
Palestine itself has no legislation either for or against homosexuality.
What we SHOULD talk about is how imperialist states (mostly the US and UK) have notoriously supported and propped up Right-Wing regimes in the Islamic world to combat communist ideology. The US, UK, SB, IL have all backed right wing movements like the Muslim Brotherhood (which then became Hamas) just to thwart leftist movements like the PLO who are pro-communist elements of the Islamic world.
Maybe stop colonizing and bombing these countries so they can socially develop. Iām begging you to read Maslowās Hierarchy of needs so you stop making stupid arguments like this.
Also idk why people have to keep saying this, but just because a country doesnāt have legislation to protect the LGBTQ community, doesnāt mean they deserve to be genocided. JFC
itās so insidious that priyanka chopra can straight up advocate for bombing kashmir and pakistan and label it āpatriotismā with her bitchy clap back at a distressed activist trying to hold her accountable and being silenced, and meanwhile shitty uk tabloids be like
the disconnect is unreal. the fundamental lack of understanding of the situation in south asia right now and the way (this brand of) western media is so desperate to maintain the status quo of keeping celebrity culture up on its pedastal that encouraging nuclear warfare against innocent and oppressed civilians, like, doesnāt matter at all
her specific jump from bollywood to hollywood has given her a unique voice and position that a lot of westerners simply do not understand. in india, sheās from the elite. sheās born and bred into the highest class of bollywood royalty, her family history is tied to the military which constantly seeks to go to war against pakistan as well as oppressing the muslim community and other religious minirities in india. her ties to the disgustingly rich ambanis who have made their billions off the backs of poor indians and have terrible business practices, and the prime minister modi who is a staunch hindu nationalist who believes in and has been consistently making moves towards expelling all religious minorities from the country - not exactly woke kween behaviour
relocating to america means all these white people writing think pieces about how hashtag woke it is that this brown woman, from an oppressed minority, is the lead in her own tv show. sheās constantly asked about representation and taking up space in the industry as a brown woman. but thatās all meaningless coming from her - sheās never lived as an oppressed minority in america or anywhere, but itās allowed her to co opt a #movement of #wokeness that the west loves. it means that her rampant blatant and dangerous islamophobia and imperialism is allowed to go unchecked because thereās no understanding at all of where she comes from and what she stands for in India.
itās fully our responsibility as desi diaspora to speak out on this to educate fellow westerners, and to uplift the voices of desi activists in the homeland speaking out about whatās happening right now. i know it seems trivial in the face of whatās actually happening in kashmir, but i think perception is everything and in the west if this one singularly famous south asian person trivialises the matter without being called out, it really does shape how people here see the issue
This was missing legitimate sources, so I took a couple of minute: CNNās initial article on the incident and their opinion follow up by Pakistani actress/model Mehwish Hayat.
