I really wish seeing people graduate ahead of me didn't make me feel more anxious and hopeless but it does. I really feel ill every time I check my email and I'm like incapable of meeting with my PI without having a panic attack in the days leading up to it, I'm chronically unproductive and I don't even think this project is viable anymore if I was getting anything done!

Emilia Perez is really dumb and boring but I feel like with a script doctor they could have made it maybe 2% less offensive and a lot more compelling if they just removed the whole Israeli Surgeon who does sex changes but it's reluctant now for some reason and replaced it with scenes and musical numbers building rapport between Rita and Manitas pre-transition. And also there's no reason for Rita to not be there when she wakes up from surgery and decides on her new name - Rita is the only person she's chosen to know about the transition and she's acting as her lawyer so idk it kind of makes sense she'd be present as an advocate when nobody else can be. Also Manitas mentions that Rita's predecessor 'wasted a lot of time' - why not explore that and how it feels like for her life to be put on hold because of these external factors? Was the previous lawyer lowkey a transphobe? So many things that could have been put in the time slot after the stupid vaginoplasty song instead of going to another surgeon for some reason.

I've taken up embroidery as a hobby and I've also started a replay of Resident Evil village. This time around I'm appreciating the details even more, especially in House Beneviento. There are a lot of obscure sewing notions and supplies all around, and if I can manage to reload to the start maybe I'll do a long post pointing out some of the cooler details.

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.

Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.

I'm also gonna stop listing the reasons why I recognize something is a scam. It's becoming more and more clear there is 1 person behind this STRING of scams and they're leaving less trails behind but it still reeks of them and their MO.

DO NOT TRUST ANY GOFUNDME OR REQUEST FOR CROWDFUNDING THAT PALESTINIAN BLOGGERS HAVEN'T VERIFIED.

At this point I'm fine receiving a bunch of inbox messages asking me to vet x y z so y'all can avoid this shit. But please have some critical thinking!
