It's a real tragedy that Inuyasha never really gets to talk about just how heavy his loss of Kikyo was. My hope was that Kagome would be the one to support him through his mourning, but even then he was left alone in his pain, pressured to lock it away and move forward. It was sad to read and watch. It seemed to me like he had more support from his 'friends' when Kagome disappeared. But he was low-key pressured to get over Kikyo.

Honestly, it was heartbreaking to watch in the episode Flowers Drenched in Sadness in The Final Act. The way they treat his pain and the way they don't even address it except as a joke like when Sango tells Kagome to make him sit when he says that sitting around just makes his feelings worse and the way they portray it like we're supposed to feel sorry for Kagome even though Inuyasha literally just had Kikyou die in his arms not that long ago. Like that's a wound that never got to heal. It just kept getting opened constantly whenever he thought he lost her again which happened multiple times in the show. It frustrates me how they end up focusing on her pain instead of acknowledging his.

It's one of my favorite novels. It was extremely easy to mtl.

Has more than 1000 chapters but I guarantee you not once will it bore you. You'll notice that all the reviews in novelupdates are 5 stars. I binge read the whole thing in 3 days! So much laughter, intrigue, supernatural, romance all combined in a wonderful mix. I tend to be very picky about stories having harem or court intrigue because many turn out to have brainless plot and cat fights. But this one is at my top 10 favorites.

So happy that it's manhua adaptation has such amazing art💘.
