Some moths that I’ve painted so far 😌
I need some advice or suggestions for the background of these paintings that I’ll be including into a solo exhibition I’m having.
I’m so stuck on what to use, I’ve been going with gradient backgrounds for my other moths.
I started my masters program recently, and so I’m supposed to crate a massive body of work based on something for my thesis. I’m just starting out so I’m experimenting and whatnot. But here’s progress photos of one of the *not done* pieces I made.
Please give thoughts 🥺
The goal is to give the illusion that it’s inside a shadow box, so I’ll need to add a shadow under the butterfly.
More photos of my progress! I feel a little out of my depth for when I go back and add all the details at the end because as I paint I’m looking at the colors thinking, “that’s actually not the right color I’ll need to change the whole section”
Bonus photo of my dog Azog asleep
An update on my painting! Trust the process y’all 😅 I’m laying down my ground work and just hopping around. I’ll start adding details once I’m satisfied with how my base looks. I’m lowkey stressing about the hologram of Palpatine.
So I’m finally making progress on this since it’s summer and I’ve got time 😌
Rig it now I’m still mapping out my colors and shadows and hopefully as the days go I’ll continue to add more.
you're not alone.
this is so sweet 🥺🥺🥺
So I need some suggestions, I put these two paintings up that I bought a long time about from an artist named James Hance. I’m going to replace the big framed piece on the center with something else that I paint. I have the canvas already it’s a size 20X36 BUT I have no idea what Star Wars scenery to paint.
Please give me ideas because as far as I know there’s no like “canon” spot that Rey and Ben have that’s like Anakin and Padme.
Starting something that I’ll hopefully get done before the anniversary of Revenge of the Sith. Send good vibes y’all.
Did anyone else get their tickets? I bought the popcorn bucket from cinemark and the cup so I have it ready for the movie!
*also all the new info/photos from Star Wars a celebration has me so excited for the new projects coming
Peep my dog Azog’s belly when he’s eating it’s cute
The art show was tonight!!
I had a total of 4 pieces and they’re all scenes from The Lord of the Rings movies. The two smaller ones are from 2020 and the two larger ones are from this year - so there’s a lot of growth that you can see in the detailing that was done but the style of my two bigger ones is a tiny bit different.
I used liquitex acrylic paint for all of them with a mod podge glossy&matte finish.
They range in sizes from 8x10 in to 12x24 in
So happy holidays, Merry Christmas, happy Wednesday! I’m still working on this piece and layering so many colors and putting things together, I’m not quite done yet but I’ll try to finish today and post a picture when it’s done.
Wish me luck
So because I have no sense of time, I started another painting, this one and my bag end one will be at a show on the 27th this month - so I need to actually finish…….
Paint gods please help me get through this one
I finally finished!!!!
Putting more work into my silly little painting please tell me how it’s going ✨
Currently working on something for a show I’ll be in next month - it’s this one and another piece I need to come up with and paint.
Referencing some photos that I found online but also making up things here and there.
I thought I was good at painting and then landscapes come in and whisper in my ear “put the brush down”
Sorry about the text in the photos I realized I never took individual photos I just did it on my Instagram stories
