Don't give up yet.
Whatever worst case scenario, World War II situation you are imagining hasn't happened yet.
And it may never happen.
Nor will it all happen all at once, but one day at a time, moment by moment.
You can handle one moment at a time.
Why would you doubt our ability to overcome the odds, when they just did the same thing?
Of course it's possible.
And look at all the other countries who have endured dark times, have overcome fascism. Countries that would never let that happen today.
Look at the dark times in our own country that we have overcome already. If you can't think of any, the Civil War is a big example.
Abraham Lincoln wanted to give up, and he was seriously considering it. But he didn't. Frederick Douglass is one individual that told him not to give up just yet.
Don't give up just yet.
Decide that this is a dark time in American history that will end. Move forward, assuming that we can fix this and put this behind us.
And get to work encouraging the people you can, and finding out what you can do to help.
Have faith that we can. These are the times where faith in yourself, in others, in a better tomorrow, is supposed to kick in.
Take breaks if you need to, but don't lose faith.
You can do this and you are not alone. For one, I am with you!
Anyone on here who needs to know they are not alone in hoping things get better?
I am on your team! We are gonna get through this!
