“Not a word. Where are you trying to get to?”
“I was looking for the diner, but I’ll settle for any place that has food. “
“Brady, Brady the Watcher. –Now that just sounds like a creeper name.”
“Yeah..that does have the whole peeping Tom vibe. Oh! What about The Watcher formerly known as Brady?”
“Everyone has their own unique smell, that’s for sure. I’m not. I’m Moscow born and raised but lived in Philly for a few years before relocating here. Where are you from?”
“From Moscow to Philly to here? That’s a pretty interesting trip. I’m from Canada. Whitehorse, Canada in case you wanted to know specifics. What made you move from Philly to all the way over here?”

“Well, I know there’s one next to the Library, it might be a mobile station… I’m not sure, that’s the best I have. Oh – I have friends up here I’m staying with.”
“As long as it’s got chips I’m sold. Thanks, stranger. I’ll check it out. Friends, huh? Sounds like fun. I ran into a friend of mine here and it was pretty exciting.”
“Hopefully you enjoy it. Forks is a lovely little town. Quaint, quiet for the most part, full of friendly face. It’s lovely to meet you!”
“So far it seems pretty cool. There’s interesting people. Sure it smells kinda off, but I don’t really have anything bad to say about this place. Are you a local?”
“Like the Marvel character, Uatu the Watcher? That guy was bald though, I think I make my own awesome Watcher.”
“Yeah! Except he looks like a giant creepy baby too. There you go, that sounds like a perfect idea. Wait! What’s your name? You could put it in front like Uatu.”
“Shouldn’t be hard to find. Unless my directions are off and in that case I’m going to feel horrible! I’m Gwen. You are?”
“It’s fine. If anything I’ll just wander around until I see it. It’ll give me an excuse to get used to this place. Nice to meet you, Gwen. I’m Poppy.”
@seychellegab: PUPPIES ARE WHATS UP
“I’m sure.” Bella smiled sheepishly. She was surprised the wolf had bothered to offer it in the first place, unless she was being mocked. The thought was shaken off quickly. “Yeah, I’m okay. Thanks for asking.” She paused a moment. “I’m Bella.”
“Alrightie then. More for me.” She was about to go back to her ice cream when Poppy finally recognized that smell that had assaulted her nose. Her eyebrows furrowed as she tried to push the scent to the side. “No problem. You just looked out of it, so I just wanted to make sure. “She shrugged, but stuck her hand out. “Nice to meet you, Bella. I’m Poppy.” It was her first time meeting a vampire besides the one that attacked her, but Poppy wasn’t going to attack unless she felt provoked or offended.
He couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s antics. “Hey, I don’t know about that one. I’m pretty sure you could sob story your way out of something, if need be.” Taking a sip of his coffee, he offered up a shrug. “I think they all bug out when it comes to flying the coop. I’m glad to see nothing’s happened to you in your travels.” A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he thought about how life had been since he stumbled upon Forks. “It’s a slow process. We both know I can be indecisive on things. Thanks, though. It’s been a good move. And she’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met, honestly. I’m pretty smitten.” There was no denying the fact that he was all but consumed in the object of his affections. She may have been imprinted on, but he was positive it would still be the case.
“You really think so?” She pretended to stroke a non-existent beard as she thought about it. “Next time I get myself in trouble, you won’t have to bail me out. I’ll try the whole sob story routine.” She continued to grin at him, forgetting about her milkshake for that moment. “Yeah, sounds like that case. I guess I am too, but it’s been so quiet and calm since I started traveling. Don’t get me wrong, taking the train and running through woods is pretty fun, but I haven’t bumped into anything weird. The weirdest thing I found was a half eaten lollipop in my hotel room.” Poppy might have had a certain vision of how her travels should have been. Being a shifter, she expected to run into more of her kind or a vampire or something while traveling. Then again, it still took her a while to figure out who was what by their scents. Poppy let out a laugh when he said that he was indecisive. “Trust me, it’s hard to forget that little fact about you.” When he started talking about the girl, Poppy began to smirk. “Oooh, Tucker’s got it bad. You even got that whole lovestruck look going on when you talk about her. It’s so cute, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish my milkshake.” Teasing him again, Poppy took another sip from her milkshake. Of course she’d be able to finish it, but it was the perfect chance to tease him like a sibling would tease another.
“You have that look about you. You sure you aren’t lost?”
“So I’ve been told. Yeah, of course...okay, maybe I’m a little confused, but don’t tell anyone, yeah?”
“A third eye for lost people. Sounds pretty legit, doesn’t it?”
“You could be Third Eye Guy. No wait! There’s a better name...The watcher!”
“Well – where do you want to go? I’m not from here at all, South America to be more correct.”
The grocery store actually. I’ve been craving chips since I got here. I think it’s something about the weather. South America? Damn, that’s pretty far away. What brought you all the way over here?”
“I dunno, you seem a little lost.”
“What? Seriously? Man, I need to work on my poker face. I thought I was pretty damn convincing.”
“You said lost in the sentence.”
“So did you. Are you lost too? I mean are you lost? Not saying I’m lost, because I have an amazing sense of direction.”
“Let’s just say I have a eye for those who are.”
“What, like some really practical superpower?”
