I'm so tiredâŠă ă
â snow much fun, jinsu & poppy
It was that time of year again, the winter season was upon Seoul and that would mean that various ice skating rinks would start springing up all over the city and at least a quarter of the city would take to the ice to try out their skills. Jinsu was soon pulling up to the car park of the Grand Hyatt Hotel and as the ice rink out front came into sight it only just dawned onto him what heâd agreed to. Outside of the car the weather was somewhere between -2°c and it didnât take long for him to remember he hadnât actually stepped foot on ice for a good few years. He pulled his phone from his pocket and quickly composed a short text to alert Poppy of his arrival.
[sms: Poppy] I just arrived, I'm not sure if you're here or not but I'll be waiting by the skate kiosk for you. See you soon!
Wrapping a KTZ scarf around his neck, he climbed out of his Lamborghini Aventador to finally brave the chilly weather as he walked over to the kiosk. Glancing out to the ice rink he couldnât help but admire how beautiful it looked against the backdrop of Seoul and the Han River in winter. Thankfully heâd chosen one of the more exclusive rinks to skate on today with hopes of avoiding flocks of winter tourists and high schoolers so there was even more of a reason to enjoy it. He was feeling confident that even if he did end up falling face first onto the ice that it would at least be fun.
Poppy arrived a minute or ten earlier than he did, just to make sure she wouldnât have to explain the fact that she took a cab instead of having her chauffeur drive her. She didnât even have a chauffeur, but he didnât have to know that. She hugged her faux fur coat tighter around her tiny frame and let out a quiet sigh, she forgot how cold it was outside when she suggested going ice-skating together. She was sure they would have fun despite the temperature, although it would have been nice if she didnât have to wait in the cold.Â
She jumped a little on her spot when her phone suddenly vibrated in the pocket of her coat, followed by the familiar ringtone that let her know she received a new text message. She grabbed her phone and couldnât help but to smile when a certain someoneâs name appeared on the display. She was glad Jinsu agreed to her silly idea of going ice-skating, she considered him to be one of her close friends and she felt like he was one of the few people who wouldnât judge her if she told him she wasnât rich at all.
That small but sweet smile lingered on her lips as she walked over to the kiosk where he would be waiting for her and she could already spot the familiar figure from a distance. Poppy quickly closed the distance between them, even though running on high heels was never a good idea, and offered him another bright smile. âIâm here, Iâm here! Are you excited?âÂ
Kiss From a Rose || Caleb&Poppy
[text: Poppy] Iâm never late for anything ă Iâll see you soon then.
If he werenât so thrilled about his date tonight and absorbed with worries of what heâd wear, Caleb wouldâve wondered about how Poppy would get ready if she wasnât planning on leaving her friendâs house, but seeing as he immediately sprinted upstairs to prepare, it wasnât to be occupying his mind anytime soon.
After turning his wardrobe inside-out and going through a good few suits, he finally settled on a more casual Ermenegildo Zegna set of black pants and coat, a pale red shirt, combined with a sleek charcoal black tie. Heâd contemplated settling for a less formal attire, but for the restaurant they were going to visit, it was best he kept to an elegant dresscode unless he was planning on arriving by motorcycle.
He waited until ten to eight before having his driver take him to the address Poppy had sent him, a familiar flip in his stomach as the car sidled smoothly into the curb and he spotted her in the slight distance at the houseâs front door â he wasnât ashamed to admit he could recognise her figure easily, anywhere. He wound the car window down, a smile automatically taking over his features as he awaited her to reach the car, the large velvet gift box in his inner coat pocket practically burning against his chest. Theyâd been meeting up and flirting for a long while with the question hanging heavy in the air, but if he played his cards right tonight, he would have Poppy become his for more than just tonight; officially.
Poppy stared at her phone for a moment or two after she pressed send and it wasnât until she got a response that she realized her excuse didnât make sense at all. She was too excited about their date to even think of a good excuse as to why he couldnât pick her up at home but it didnât seem to matter. He didnât seem to notice that it didnât make sense, so perhaps there was no need to worry. She had other things to worry about, such as the fact that he only gave her an hour to get ready. She sent him another quick text message before throwing her phone aside with a small smile on her lips.
[txt: Caleb] your princess will be waiting. âĄ
Eventually she decided on a simple black dress with some lace details here and there, as well as her favorite pair of pumps with the famous red soles, which could only mean one thing: Louboutins. She curled her long pink hair and touched up her make-up: dolly eyes and pink lips, the same as always. After choosing her accessories she turned to face her reflection in the mirror and a content smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She looked like a woman of luxury, she felt like a woman of luxury, and she was about to go on another date with her prince charming. She couldnât be happier.
She draped her favorite faux fur coat over her shoulders before heading outside where she waited for his arrival. A bright smile appeared onto her face when the car arrived right on time and she slowly closed the distance between her and the vehicle. She merely offered him another small but sweet smile before the driver opened the door and she quietly slipped into the seat beside her date, smoothing down her dress before finally glancing up at him. âIâm glad I decided to wear black, we sort of match.â Her words were followed by soft, amused laughter and she leaned in closer, pressing her lips against his cheek in a soft kiss. âI missed you.âÂ

Kiss From a Rose || Caleb&Poppy
His fingers hit a sour chord on his piano when the message alert rung on his phone, but instead of his usual irritated disposition when interrupted mid-song, Caleb was immediately exchanging the black and white keys in favour of checking his screen, expression unchanging but eyes lighting up at the name on the notification and the message that followed just under it. Finding the next few messages to contain all the positive signals â except the second one about torture, he let himself worry about that a little â he immediately closed the screen to make a call to the restaurant and place a reservation for two, mind wandering off in the meantime to stress over something new to wear. If what he knew of Poppy so far was a consistent indication, style and elegance was never something to take lightly.
Once heâd made the arrangements, he resumed the conversation with Poppy, typing away a single text to sum up all that needed to be replied to, forgetting to school his features of the stupid grin spreading across his lips (unbeknownst to him, his housemaid had already seen and found amusement in it) before hitting send and standing up from his piano stool.
[text: Poppy] always baby, ive been hoping to whisk you away from whatever has you occupied so often and keep you to myself for at least an evening. and fear not, its a romantic spot, youâll love it. you know i would only prepare the very best for a princess. ill pick you up in about an hour, is that alright?
A rather stupid grin tugged at the corners of her lips when her phone vibrated once more and his name appeared on the touch screen. It was ridiculous how excited she got every time he texted her, she really did like him a lot. She quickly opened his text message, curious to see his response and if he had shared any more details about their evening together. They couldnât meet up as often as she liked and even though she wanted to tell him why, she just couldnât. She nervously pressed her teeth down her bottom lip upon reading that last sentence; he couldnât pick her up at her apartment because then he would know she wasnât as rich as he thought she was. Her perfectly manicured fingers typed up a response whilst she tried to decide on what she would wear, it had to be elegant, something a princess would wear.Â
[txt: Caleb] Iâm all yours tonight. Iâm still at my friendâs place; Iâll text you the address. Iâll wait outside, donât let me freeze.
A deep sigh escaped her lips as she pressed send, she had no idea if the âitâs my friendâs placeâ excuse was going to work but she would find out soon enough. For now she only had to worry about her outfit.
â trampled heart â azrael x poppy ;
She was still as easily startled, he noted as a sigh slipped past his lips. With his eyebrows scrunching up, it took him colossal puissance not to turn away from herânot to break the pretense he had been so meticulously perpetuating for as long as he could remember. She smiled; he arched an eyebrowâ and the only reason he did was because it was so difficult, so punishing to even just glance at that enchanting smile of hers once again. It was truly a punishment. âSo unfortunate,â he lied through his teeth once more, another smirk curling the corner of his lips. âBut no matter,â he began to say, his hands slipping into his pockets. âI no longer care enough about your presence to do anything about it.â
A deep sigh escaped her slightly parted lips and Poppy slowly shook her head, she honestly thought the person she loved so much had returned the moment she saw the softness in his eyes. But he disappeared before she could even verify that what she saw was real. âIf you truly no longer care, Iâll try to pretend that I donât care anymore either.â She hugged her coat tighter around her tiny frame, it was cold outside and she wasnât exactly dressed for a cold winter day. âI should probably go.â She offered him another small but sweet smile before turning around, secretly hoping he would stop her from leaving.

Good Girls Don't Scratch || Poppy & DJ
Although a little annoyed with her pushing him away, Daejung settled for having a small gap between them, it didnât matter much since he would close it later anyway. He bit his lip and narrowed his eyes, watching her. She was looking for someone to help her. âTch, the cheek,â he thought . Why would she want to get away from a hot guy whoâs giving her attention, isnât it what every girl wants? Maybe he needed to try harder, rather than going in straight he could get around it with a few compliments.Â
     He danced with her a while, just innocently swaying and matching her moves with his own before he opened his mouth to start a casual conversation, small-talk, maybe. Instead she leaned in and he blinked, wondering if she was about to kiss him already but instead she just shouted over the music. He rolled his eyes and frowned, watching as she pulled away and disappeared through the crowd.
     It might have been alcohol influenced or just his natural tendency of overreacting but he felt the anger toward that girl bubble up inside of him and quickly strode after her, pushing through the crowd. His brows were furrowed deeply and he luckily caught sight of her putting on her coat. He grabbed his own and pulled it on, following her out into the night air. If it were any other situation the fresh air would have made him feel better but with the girl on his mind he only felt worse.Â
     Daejung finally spotted the girl walking alone. She even lied, it only added to the fire upon realisation. Daejung growled softly and quickened his pace before he caught up with the girl and slammed her against the wall a little harder than he planned but it got the message across nonetheless. âWhy would you lie, huh?â he kept her pinned, âAnd I was even nice to you,â he scoffed, âWell, I was thinking of going easy on you but now you look like the type who wants it rough.âÂ
A shiver crept down her spine when she finally stepped outside into the night air, she wasnât dressed for a cold winter night at all but for once she welcomed the change in temperature. She was glad she managed to escape the intoxicated (and most likely horny) crowd and more specifically the young man that wanted to dance with her so badly. Something about him just made her feel so uncomfortable. Especially because he couldnât keep his distance and kept grinding up against her, she hated men who thought it was okay to invade her personal space.
She pushed a strand of hair out of her face, hooking it behind her ear so that it wouldnât obstruct her sight as her perfectly manicured fingers typed up a quick text message. Her friends were still inside and they werenât planning on leaving soon, so she just wanted to let them know she would be going home early. That was the plan at least. She let out a soft sigh as she pressed send and she hugged her coat tighter around her tiny frame, her legs were freezing. The sound of her high heels echoed against the pavement as she slowly walked towards a quieter place so that she could call a cab to take her home.
What happened next was something she didnât expect at all. Her eyes widened in fear when a larger figure suddenly slammed her against the wall and a rather high-pitched cry escaped her lips. It took her a moment or two to recognize the man and for a moment she didnât understand what he was talking about. âKeep your hands off of me!â She hissed as she tried to wriggle herself out of his grip. âIâm the type who doesnât want it at all so leave me alone.â Her hand tightened around her phone, her fingertips blindly trying to find her contacts so that she could call someone, anyone.Â
â trampled heart â azrael x poppy ;
What an immense blow it was to his heart to gaze upon such lovely features again after so long. He thought he had forgotten herâ her eyes, her lips, her touchâ but the sight of her before him, the sound of her voice reverberating through his ears brought back memories that he had been putting aside in the very back of his mind. He went blank for a couple of moments, but he was brought back into the present as he felt her slipping away from his grip. âIt has,â he concurred, bringing his arm back to his side as he willed himself to depose the softness in his eyes. Gaze turning cold, he looked at her, lips tugging into a subtle smirk. âFunny, isnât it? I thought I would have gotten rid of you already yet here you are again.â The words left a bitter taste on his lips because in truth, in his mind, he was saying, Iâm happy to see you again.
She idly ran her fingers through her long, pink hair and she averted her gaze towards the ground as she tried to ignore the stinging pain inside her chest. A broken heart was supposed to be a metaphor, so why did it actually hurt? Slow but surely she looked up at him again and the corners of her lips curved up and formed a small, amused smile. She was good at hiding behind masks and putting up walls around her heart, she refused to let him know how much his words really hurt. âYou know you canât get rid of me that easily.â She murmured out softly and her words were followed by a quiet chuckle. The truth was that she was happy to see him again too, even if things were different now. He was a different person and she had changed as well; time changes everyone. But despite that she wanted nothing more than to wrap her arms around him and hug him tightly and tell him how much she missed him. Perhaps they could play pretend and act as if nothing had changed at all.
If you could be named after a different flower, what would it be?
Daisy, or maybe Rose. I really like Daisy though.Â
