"If I had more than training, school, and the occasional appearance, I’d probably be dead from the lack of sleep. I’m fighting sleep as it is right now. No need to break bank. If you got software that can make MIDIs and can noise remove any recordings, we’ll be good. Oh, and if it’s pirated…" he said and pulled out his notebook that certainly looked like it had seen better days. Some pages had ink scratches that left dents, writings in the margins, and one or two pages had writing distorted by spilled liquid. "I won’t judge." he whispered as he found the latest page with the beginning of lyrics. He had gotten only gotten the opening written, but had came up dry on how to continue. "This is the latest song I’m working on. I’m thinking something electric guitar heavy and my voice will be more understated, but pick up during the chorus and climax. Gotta finish it first though…"

He was feeling inspired by not only his current “scandal,” but also the numerous scandals that occur every time an idol is caught dating. “Even though it’s a little personal, hopefully this assignment will be motivation to finish it and get it out of my system.”

"Fair enough. Nah, don't worry about my equipment — it's definitely all legit." Jinsu couldn't help but let a chuckle escape from his lips, eyes falling down to look over the worn notepad. Now that was definitely one of an artist, unlike most of the kids in this class who'd hardly made a crack in the spine of theirs. His gaze flickered back up to the boy beside him, nodding in an effort to show that he was indeed still listening "Go ahead."

"I really like it, trust me when I say I don't bullshit my opinions either." It took him another few seconds to take in the lyrics, they were deep but also very compelling but also very personal. Now they had to find a balance that would make the lyrics meaningful to a wider audience. From the short extract he'd heard he could definitely see some potential in their project. "Honestly, I don't have much experience in rock but I can definitely work with this. I think the trick will be to create something that draws the listener in, to create something that draws a person in not only by the lyrics but also engross them in the beat. Especially because it sounds like it's going to be intense, a connection with the listener is pretty much a must.

"Let me see… Shouldn’t have anything that can’t be cancelled for another date…" Pulling out his cell, he checked the calender for any appearances that need to be made. "If I have anything, it’ll be training and maybe the occasional appearance. But all of that can be cancelled or moved. My manager promised to keep my schedule as flexible as possible… I’m free for the next couple weeks. Nothing urgent. Do you have equipment? Mics, keyboard, recording software, etcetera?"

He was pleasantly surprised, it seemed as though they'd have plenty of time to work on the tracks and that surely meant that whatever they produced would end up being almost as precious as gold. "Dude, are you serious? I would've thought you were majorly busy so if you're sure then that's really great. I don't have anything other than small scale equipment but I'll be able to come up with something, if the software and shit that I have now isn't good enough then imp sure the university with help out a bit" He gave a confident nod, the hype was beginning to set in.

Yuchul blinked in confusion for a second. Did they just have a telepathic moment? The constant late night sessions of homework, study, and recording/dancing/clubbing/drinking must have him getting delusional. But then, Jinsu didn’t appear to be 100% lucid himself. ‘Pot meet kettle?’ Just the very thought of pots and kettles made him suck on his straw until the only results he got were the sounds of crushed ice. He got himself back on track of the conversation just as soon as Jinsu asked about joining up. “You’re speaking my language. I heard some of your instrumental work. Real slick. I can definitely think of something to write with them and I am definitely game. So, how are we gonna do this? Knowing him, I’m sure this won’t be a project that could be done during class or school hours.” he asked, moving over a couple seats. “Got work outside of school or anything that will need to be worked around?”

It was true that this project looked like it was going to be quite the task, he really couldn't afford to let himself slack on the workload like he often did when it came to other aspects of the course. However this time would be different because he had a partner who appeared dedicated to their work, someone who would hopefully not allow him just to sit back and hope things fell into places as if by some lucky strike of fate. Everything was setting into place and so far Jinsu rated the pairs chances of producing something top class as quite high. "I have nothing that can't re-arranged, y'know? I think it's probably you and your schedules we have to worry about here. It's sounds a little sad saying this but I'm pretty much always free, day or night." He gave a small shrug of his shoulders. Jinsu, unlike the other was lead the life of pretty much any other man in their twenties. He wasn't an internationally known idol and it was true his list of commitments rarely expanded outside of his personal life and even then plans were often uncertain. "So whenever you're free, man."

When late comer Jinsu arrived and was told to invest less in his wardrobe and more on an alarm clock, Yuchul - in spite of his lethargic state - almost had a mind to jump up and tell the professor that if he actually invested in his own wardrobe, maybe he’d be able to get a girlfriend. Even if one is late, it’s better to look one’s best than to look frazzled and out of it. He resisted, knowing that the sleep deprivation and sore limbs would have done the talking for him; it was common knowledge at this point that Jinsu had difficulties arriving in a timely fashion. Yuchul couldn’t blame him. He himself lived on a crazy schedule that left him occasionally rushing from place to place as well. Turning towards Jinsu, he nodded with a smile. “Yes. That we did, Jinsu-ssi.” he said, deciding to take the formal route. He wouldn’t throw around ‘hyung’ casually without the okay.

"Exactly!" For a second his words didn't exactly make much sense but then again it was early, mornings were never his strong point as they'd always seem to leave him in either an overly cheerful buzz from the lack of sleep or blissfully unaware of his actions, right now he was bordering on the latter. "Actually I've been meaning to tell you that after we met I checked out a few of your tracks online and I have to admit you've got some real talent. It was all impressive stuff." While he began to explain himself he couldn't help but find his gaze wandering to look around the room at the clumps of students scrambling to find themselves a partner in the short time they'd been given, thankfully Jinsu knew instantly what he was aiming for. For one, he needed the boy beside him on his team but first he had to proposition him with a convincing offer  "Maybe I should keep this simpler-- or even better just cut to the point. I think we could help each other out with this project. Your vocals, songwriter-- whatever else and my producing would probably make a banger of a track and I think we'd be crazy to miss the opportunity."
