So like, this spanish tag-yourself meme-post comes across my dash. And I’m in the process of learning spanish decently well, and I’m capable of understanding most of the words and grammar here and easily researching what I don’t. But that’s all like, proper spanish.

On the other hand, jeebus, most of this is still nonsense to me; Slang, and I’m guessing idioms and cultural jokes that I don’t understand.

Like one of Tracer’s roughly means “The one who doesn’t jump is English. (Doesn’t jump)”. The heck does that mean?

And both Widow and Sym are described as “Ortiva” which near as I can tell is slang that refers to a type of thug or a badass prone to beating people up? Though it seems to be a generally masculine concept?

And wtf is a “pollerudo”?

It goes on from there. I’ve only been learning textbook spanish, so this trying to decipher this spanish shitpost/meme has been a wild ride.

It started with this. Then there was a followup. I got inspired. Sketch was great; coloring once again kinda butchers it. Oh well. I got an excuse to draw more butts. If I were a better artist, I'd do another followup where by the time she steps on the beach she's seen as a trendsetter and everybody else starts getting naked too. omg, this whole episode is literally a playful criticism of the mlp fandom, and how some fans really miss the point. From the Rarity haters, to the RD fanbois, and everyone else (except maybe Applejack), the reprisal is so ON POINT.

I have a feeling this episode is gonna be under-rated compared to the Princess episode and the Apple-Family one this season, but it absolutely deserves to be ranked among them.

This season has been legitimately REALLY GOOD.

As amazing as it was, there were head-scratchers and missed opportunities. I half expected a random pony to yell something like "WHY'S RAINBOW DASH SUCH AN UNLIKABLE JERK IN THIS LESSON BUT SO CONSIDERATE AND UNDERSTANDING IN THIS ONE?!" And then the one major flaw was the "yeah, but the purpose of the journal isn't supposed to be marketing" line by Twilight. Sorry, but the satire does not work when the whole point of the show IS SELLING TOYS. Nobody's flawless, indeed. At least now we know that taking the piss officially goes both ways.
