Notes: As promised, here is a snippet based on this absolutely gorgeous work.
Thank you once again for letting me know about it, and I hope you like this ^^
Sansa washed her hair, loving the feeling of it been finally clean. The fact that she was doing that in a river, out in the open, just made it different.
What would her mother say if she saw Sansa like this?
Although… Her mother couldn’t say anything, could she? As soon as the thought entered her head, Sansa did her best to push it away. She was alive and she wanted to remain that way.
“Sansa?” Legolas called from wherever he was keeping guard. “Are you nearly done?”
Sansa bit her lower lip, considering if she should tease him or not. The elf took to teasing always in peculiar ways, and she could never predict which one would it be.
“I might need help washing my back.” She called back.
There was only silence an an answer, so he might not be in a playful mood today. Sansa sighed.
“Shall I help you then?” His voice came from right behind her, a whisper directly by her ear.
Sansa shrieked and turned, only to find the sneaky elf on a bolder, right behind her. She hadn’t even heard him approaching.
“You scared me.” She accused, her hands covering her breasts.
“I was just trying to be helpful.” He offered easily.
Legolas looked at her for a minute, then started undressing. Sansa’s heart skipped a beat as his clothes were discarded, then his boots, until he kept only his pants.
Sansa wondered if this was what a star looked like were it close enough to be touched. His pale skin seemed to shine from within, and his ethereal beauty never seemed more far of reach than it seemed now so close by.
He entered the water and came closer to her, but not enough to touch. “So?” He threw back.
Sansa slowly lowered her arms. “You tell me.” She prompted, coming closer. “You were the one to told me to be careful.”
The corner of his mouth ticked up. “I know, but I don’t want that anymore.”
“What do you want then?” She asked, now really close.
Legolas didn’t answer immediately, he just extended his hand to her, palm up. Sansa laid her hand on his and let him pull her gently towards himself.
The elf picked the lady up and lowered her on the bolder warmed up by the sun. He pushed her blood red hair off her face. “I want you. Your warmth.”
“What about it not being a good idea?” She reminded him of his own words.
“I don’t care.” He murmured, laying his body gently over hers, his lips covering her neck. The quiet sun warming their skin, in a world that seemed forgotten and that -for now -belonged solely to them.
