Imagine you've finally managed to get though to him, to convince him that he's gentle enough to handle you. Constantly reassuring him that despite your fragility, he could never hurt you.
Which finally leads you here, in his private room, sitting on his giant servo with your back leaned against his curled digits.
His other servo points out a digit which slowly pats your head so lightly you barely feel it. It slides down from the top of your head to your soft cheek, gently petting the delicate skin.
He pulls his digit away, cupping his servos to keep you close to his face plate. The soft blue hue of his optics illuminate your skin, you notice how they're brighter than usual.
His free digit then strokes down your arm, the tip of it meets your hand. You grip it reassuringly. Subtly letting him know that you want this.
It then leaves your hand, slipping underneath the hem of your shirt. Cold metal meeting hot skin makes you gasp softly, Optimus pauses at the noise, looking deep in your eyes searching for any sign of fear. Only to find Love.
His digit lifts your shirt higher, exposing the delicate skin of your abdomen. He pulls away as your own arm keeps the shirt in place.
Optimus lowers his helm, his warm intake presses ever so delicately on your exposed skin. You weakly call out his name, soft hands settling on his warm faceplate.
He understands it now, why he was so scared. You are delicate. So fragile and sensitive compared to his brute metal.
But he loves it. He loves your sensitive skin, the soft hair on your head, the warmth of your hands, the way you so politely ask him to hold you, and the shine in your eyes as his steady digits glide down your exposed skin.
Your trust in him to be gentle is something he has promised to never take for granted. Although such promises have made his fear change its face.
Optimus is no longer afraid of touching you, no.
He's afraid of never being able to again.
