Hello! Nice to hear from you again :D
“Well, you see. This is a long story. As you know, or perhaps do not, things were going fairly chaotically for us. My creator Lux Spedar left us, and his ward Tenebri Dolfer got loose.” Pax sighed, coming to rest upon the ground.
“And once Tenebri got loose, all was lost. I was summoned back to our realm to do what I could to stop her, you see. And it took a long time. It took a very long time. And my home it was - destroyed. All but little remains. I have just now - just now been checking, and the bees have gone wild, and Pumpkin is gone, and so is my little Caleo. All is different. I do not know where Vox is anymore. I do not know if he will return. I have to rebuild my home now from the beginnings, and the house is empty. But! I can go inside it now. I am no longer barred from its entrance.”
Lemongrab stared at Pax for a moment. “I do..not recall you telling me any of this beforehand?” It seemed like Pax had been through quite a bit. “…Oh I am sorry that happened. But you are here now! Hmmm..” He gave the spirit a sympathetic smile.
“The children have missed you. Could you stay for a time? You are welcome here! Mm…”
“No. Well, I did not remember who I had told!” Pax said, wide-eyed. “I told few people. But I will visit for certain, and stay, if you require a haunter to your castle. How have the children... have they grown?”
@porchlight-ghost
Gasp! “My ghost children have returned!”
“Sam! Yes, we are - I am back. I have come back. I do not… know where Vox is. But I am here to stay. Unless I get summoned again, but I do not wish for this.”
She was already sweeping the spook into a hug, hoping he was tangible enough for this to work or this would be really awkward. Her face fell at the news of the spectral counterpart. “Well, I’m glad you’re alright. Is… Is Vox okay?”
It was so good to be hugged after so long. It had been nearly a year since Pax’s last experience touching a mortal, and in that time it had nearly forgot how it felt.
Pax took a breath, which did nothing, being that Pax was not a being that needed to breathe, but it felt good. “He is… missing. I have no knowledge of where he could be. And he is very hard to spot, so when he does go missing, you see… I cannot find him.”
She left the hug a little long, making up for lost time. Lost hugs. “I’m sure he’ll turn up. Old Vox gets into trouble all the time.” Her smile was a bit strained. A headshake. No.
“How are you, Pax? I haven’t seen you in ages!”
“Oh, I know. I know he does,” Pax said with a quiet smile. “I do worry that bad things may have befallen him. But he was known to explore. Is, perhaps. Perhaps he is exploring still, as of old!”
“As for myself, I am well as can be expected. I have been away for long. I’m in the business of repairing my home.”
Like for a small starter!

“Oh, it was not pleasant a tale. No, you see. Our spirit that we were meant to guard got loose, and she caused havoc across our world. Our realm of spirits, the larger nether realm that inhabits all that do not live as mortal. I had to stop her. I was so long away, and Vox… my Vox did not come back at all. I don’t know where he is. You see, our link has been broken. I can no longer feel his essence in mine. He may be gone for good.”
“For… for good?” The blonde held a hand to her chest. It hurt… for the first time in centuries it hurt. “What do you mean for good? He can’t just be gone, Pax…” Her eyes stung. “He’s going to come back. It’s just.. he’s… he’s lost…”
“I can hope this is so,” Pax sighed. “I can so. He was my companion for years and centuries while we were imprisoned in our home realm. I do so love him. Perhaps though he is only weak and resting, or is looking for me the same as I am for him.”

“Cassi! I am not alone here, oh thankfulness!”
“And you are looking as ever. Beautiful, that is! I am sorry - I have been away for so long I am no longer sure how it is to talk to those corporeal! Or… celestial!”
“I missed you. And Vox too. Has he come back with you? Where did you go?”
“Oh, it was not pleasant a tale. No, you see. Our spirit that we were meant to guard got loose, and she caused havoc across our world. "What is? What has happened? Oh dear." "I've so long been away."
oh, so there are ghosts now
@porchlight-ghost
“Caleo, yes. He is well. He’s grown a lot in the past few months! I think… he is about a grown wisp now.” Of course, Pax had no way of knowing whether or not this was the case.
“Is he gonna move out or go on his own adventure?” Hiralu thought that is what most kids did when they wanted to be adults. “He could save a prince from a castle tower! …Or something.”
“Mmm that is a nice thought but... I think he’ll stay by the pond where he has lived most of his life. He may leave if he decides to, though.”
