The best thing I ever did was stop trying to water myself down to make myself softer or less aggressive. I naturally have a strong presence & I own the space I take up in this world even if some people think Iām too much.
internalised lesbophobia got me looking shifty and uncomfortable whenever other women change in front of me because Iām like ādo I have the male gaze?? should I leave???ā and the women are like āoh itās just us girls so it doesnāt matterā but I feel really disconnected from that kinda feeling because of my lesbianism???
NO THIS IS TOTALLY A THING! When I try to explain it to my friends, I call it āLocker Room Syndromeā because I never got over the fear of girls thinking I was checking them out while they were changing.
And it goes beyond that. Itās also the fear that sometimes bubbles back up that my straight friends will think Iām into them when Iām being friendly or when I hug them. Internalized lesbophobia can really fuck you up.

i thinkā¦ā¦..one of the many problems in how sex is perceived in society is that we seem to think its thisĀ āskillā like people are very anxious about getting experience or practice or whatever wrt sex but thatās not really how it works, itās a fundamentally an expression, a conversation; two-sided, subjective, situational, and figuring out what works for everyone involved, as opposed to being just another objective talent to master for all situations as if its one-size-fits-all without consideration to your specific partner

we are all in our early 20ā²s beating ourselves up for not having perfect beautiful apartments and wise carefully curated hobbies and self image! there is no rush!
Iām tryna eat fruit and walk around a loverās house topless cos the summer heat be ridiculous. iām tryna be laughing and giggling at inside jokes with my lover. tryna be laying in they lap as we watch movies, stealing a kiss here and there. iām tryna be in love, vulnerable, and content.
