Some of you may know I've been working really hard on a personal project to become a yoga teacher. And if you didn't know this, trust me I'm almost as surprised as you are! I'm beyond thrilled to be saying I'm officially a yoga teacher!! 🧘🏾♀️ Yoga has been a turning point in my journey of personal growth, confidence, self-care, self-worth, identity and happiness. I'm humbled to have the opportunity to build a safe space in other souls to find their peace in this world. In spite of the constant hate facing our communities of color, LGBTQ+ communities, women, and inspiring social advocates and warriors on the front lines. It's a pleasure to finally meet you
I normally don't enjoy talking about myself, but I've realized how much I've learned about myself from hearing others stories. Storytelling has always been a way for people to share their culture, traditions, morals within their community.
This past year has been immensely transformative for me. I began to recognize and embrace my worth, potential, and boundless strength. I've taken the time reconnect with my body, listen to it, nourish it, and create space to ease my anxiety and fear.
A year ago I wouldn't recognize the woman I am today. I'm a yoga teacher, I'm a bridesmaid, I'm an entrepreneur, I'm a business partner, I'm a budding aromatherapist, I'm a black women running head first into my fear knowing any challenges that lay ahead, I will overcome!
I finally greet the soul that waited patiently to emerge in her full potential, grace, and power.
