Location: Midtown

Lexington Brass does eggs Benedict the best! As an egg connoisseur, it is a big deal to make a statement like this. However, it is true! Served with the perfect balance of a salad and home fries, this was the ultimate brunch plate. Although a cappuccino was opted for, they did serve mimosas as well. However, the food was so outrageous there was no room for booze! A great place for American style brunch, and a delicious-looking option of truffle fries. Lexington Brass is more of a casual restaurant, another great place for good food to go with friends on a weekend.

Location: Hell’s Kitchen

This burrata is from Nizza in Hell’s Kitchen. It is a French accented Italian restaurant, which is a combination that is just as wonderful as it sounds. Although it may sound like it would be fancy, Nizza is actually pretty casual. They have a delectable brunch menu, where you honestly cannot go wrong with the order. No order envy here! They even offer several gluten free options. A great place for a relaxed brunch and great food with friends.

Location: East Village

This brunch came from the famous by Chloe restaurant. They are known for being “basic” but trendy. If you are a teenage girl visiting NYC, you have probably been to by Chloe. That being said, the majority of the restaurant-goers are young girls having a girls brunch with their friends. While the food is good and the atmosphere is Insta-worthy, it is probably not the first choice of most brunchers. The food is not worth all the hype around the name of the restaurant.

Location: Bronx (Belmont)

These explosive red velvet waffles can be found and the notorious Clinton Hall! They also offer them in s’mores flavor, and are very fun to order because of the sparklers, not to mention their deliciousness. On Saturday’s and Sunday’s Clinton Hall offers $3 mimosas!!!! That’s right...you can get THREE MIMOSAS for under $10!!! In addition to their great breakfast foods on the brunch menu, they are also famous for their burgers. Any kind of burger you can think of- burgers with eggs, burgers with fritos, regales burgers, blackbean burgers- you name it, they have it! Clinton Hall’s casual vibe is unique because they also have tons of board games like Clue, Connect Four, and Uno all over to play with friends. Their bench seating makes it fun and communal and the atmosphere is always a blast. A great place for a big group of friends looking for a casual, yet inexpensive brunch!

Location: Homemade

While this brunch was done at home, the bagels need to be highlighted. Blackseed bagels makes the best bagels in Manhattan- you heard it here first! This is a great option if you want to have a few friends over in the morning before a daytime activity for some homemade mimosas, a bag of these bagels, and their special cream cheese. You can buy the cream cheese by the half pound or pound in many different flavors including plain, chive, and strawberry. Homemade brunch can be lots of fun for you and your friends to get a chance to mingle, sip, and munch!

Location: Harlem

These eggs are straight out of Lolo’s Seafood Shack in Harlem. It is a Caribbean-style restaurant that gives off an island feel when you are casually dining in the back area on picnic tables. They have a tiki bar and live music on weekends! Lolo’s is by far the most unique brunch place to go, and feels more like a fun and tropical experience with friends. They even serve seafood steampots for your seafood-loving friends. They offer a variety of drinks, including a punch-like mimosa. It is an extremely laid-back place, and most enjoyable when the weather is warm.

Location: Lower East Side

Located on the Lower East Side, Café Medi offers a variety of Mediterranean-style food. Their restaurant is described as serving “fresh and seasonal contemporary Coastal Mediterranean cuisine inspired by the traditional coastal dishes of Spain, Italy, and France.” They also prepare custom vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes upon request. This restaurant has by far the most beautiful interior, with high-ceiling, sky-lit, mural-covered main dining room. There is additional outdoor seating on the terrace for nicer weather. They serve bottomless mimosas, but offer a more relaxed vibe.

Location: Midtown

These delicious “mac and cheese fries” are served at The Ainsworth’s brunch. There are multiple locations throughout Manhattan, most famous for their variety of burgers. They serve mimosas by the glass, but unfortunately do not offer bottomless. However, their extensive menu makes both breakfast and lunch foods appetizing, so it really is a win-win situation. Their restaurant in Midtown is more of a pub, however can make for a relaxing afternoon with a burger and a mimosa with some friends.

Location: East Village

Mezetto is a Mediterranean restaurant known for its tapas and brunch. The name comes from the word “Meze” which refers to a selection of small dishes typically served in Mediterranean cuisine. Brunch is reasonably priced, and bottomless mimosas are served. The atmosphere is relaxed and light, as the walls are all windows allowing for natural light to pour in. Mezetto accommodates both small and large parties. The avocado toast being featured has romesco sauce and a chickpea salad for a Mediterranean twist on this “basic” brunch dish.

Location: Midtown

This yolk porn is from the Kurant, the quaint brick-walled wine bar located in Midtown. This relaxed yet intimate setting is perfect for a small group of brunchers. They serve bottomless mimosas, but the majority of this crowd ordered by the glass, as it was more low-key. This cozy brunch spot is perfect for a warm meal when the weather gets cold. This burger with an egg over easy was a meal that covered the best of both worlds!

Location: Greenwich Village

This family-style brunch is served at Carroll’s Place, the perfect spot for a large group looking to share an abundance of food and mimosas…they even serve rosé mimosas for those who only drink pink! The atmosphere is loud, but lively and fun. It can get rowdy, and definitely draws a youthful crowd, so plan accordingly. This is definitely more suited for a friends’ brunch than a family brunch. Loads of fun if you are looking for a good time!

Located in the trendy East Village, Café Cortadito has one of the best Cuban brunches in NYC. They describe their menu as focused on “Cuban cuisine reinvented with a modern twist.” While the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, the outdoor seating was perfect for a large group on a sunny afternoon. The entire restaurant was open since it was nice weather, which made it feel like one big boozy party. The perfect place for bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary’s, or bellinis!

Location: Midtown East Within the heart of Midtown lies Anassa, or “breath of fresh air,” a traditional Greek taverna. A large group of my extended family frequented this elegant spot one Sunday afternoon on my aunt’s 60th birthday weekend. Although I was between the yogurt parfait and eggs florentine, the latter proved to be the move. Described on the menu as a “Poached egg, English muffin, sauteed spinach, hollandaise sauce, mixed green salad,” this option satisfied me for the activities ahead.  The mimosas consisted of champagne with a splash of OJ which made for quite a Sunday Funday!
