This is Posystivity! A place for systems to celebrate each other, personal goals, or to just gush about their system! Anything positive goes here :D Other info such as DNI & FAQ are beneath the cut!

Why did you make this blog?

In our time on sysblr, two positivity blogs that we have followed met unfortunate ends... and others we have seen allow the spread of misinformation (nontraumatized systems) on their pages. We believe the system community deserves a trustworthy source of positivity!

What is your DNI?

Our DNI is quite loose; no nontraumatized "systems", no one who promotes harrassment of any kind, no transIDs or radqueers, no racists/zionists/etc, no personality disorder demonizers or fetishizers. This list could be added to in the future.

How should I start my ask?

Starting your ask with "system joy is" or "system positivity is" can be a good format to use if you're unsure how to start! But generally, you can start your ask with whatever you'd like to. We only request that if your submission has anything typically triggering in it, it be tagged accordingly at the beginning of your ask. Thank you!

New to tumblr so idk if there formating issues on mobile but,

our boyfriend has been super amazing ever since we told him we were a system 7 years ago. He's so patient and through with helping to orientate the like 3(?) splits we've had since we first knew each other, he stays up with us till we can fall back asleep after nightmares, and he great at stepping into the lead when we're having dissociative episodes or flashbacks in public.

We moved in together about two years ago at this point and he's even gone the extra mile to pick up on the different ways some of us hold the body, speak, and even dietary preferences since announcing switching can often be anxiety inducing in public since we've always been more covert.

Hope this isn't too long a submission😭 I wanted to pitch this since our anniversary is coming up soon and he deserves some recognition even if this is anonymous

Hey, I want you to know that it's okay. It's going to be okay. I know a lot of things are scary right now, and it's easy to feel hopeless, but there is always a light at the end of even the darkest tunnels. You can do this, you can live and thrive, I promise you can. I know you can. I believe in you. No matter what happens, you will see better days, you will make it to your best days.

DNI lists are stupid. it is YOUR job to curate your online exprience to your liking by blocking/filtering out content or people you dont want to interactb with or have interact with you. YOU need to take the action to block people you dont like, you cant expect them to block you first. stop expecting other people to take the time to read your dni and to cater to your wants.

How much you wanna bet this person's mad bc they thought we were a pro-endo blog?

Anyway, DNIs, while obviously not an airtight solution to (pro) endos interacting with us, do typically deter at least a percentage of people from interacting with our accounts, not to mention DNIs help us easily find out who to block ourselves.

This ask is pretty pointless, being honest. Hope it made you feel better though, kiddo, this is a positivity blog after all ;)

umm this is me gushing about one of our alters, John, bc he does a lot for me and honestly makes being the host way more tolerable than itd be otherwise

when i first started suspecting i had DID/OSDD he was one of the first alters that I found out about. I was convinced he was an imaginary friend and he let me name him! I named him John Doe bc I like corpses and he's used that as his name since, but we just call him John bc the full name is kinda a mouthful.

He's a protector nd an emotional regulator, but its kinda funny to me bc his style of emotional regulation is "if its a small problem, dont worry about it. if its a big problem, solve it." but it actually kinda works. he fronts a lot during "stressful" day-to-day tasks, like going shopping or going to the doctors. And when we're in public he tends to keep an eye on our brothers and mom!

Sorry this is kinda long he just means a lot to me and he hasnt fronted a lot recently but when he does he makes things a lot easier for us. Hes kinda like an older brother to me tbh

As an older brother figure myself, John sounds like an awesome guy. You have no need to apologize for gushing, it's what this blog was made for. /gen

Alters who help with stressful tasks like that are the backbone of a system and I'm so happy you have someone to help you with them :) Good work, John!

are you aware plural is historically inclusive of endogenic systems?

Yes, and if you are simply asking that question, you now have your answer.

But if you are a nontraumagenic supporter or "system" yourself, and are asking in order to tell us to stop using the tags, we will politely tell you that we will not cease our use of them (for a number of reasons which we do not have to justify to you), direct you to our DNI, and ask that you listen to it by not interacting further with this blog.

From this post on, we will be deleting any asks telling us to stop using the plural tags, as we want this to be a place of positivity and joy, not arguments.

I wanna talk abt Miki, a headmate of ours, and why it fucking rules. (He/it pronouns for Miki!)

It was the first alter we became aware of. He fronted more for a longer period of time and suddenly our host's name and pronouns felt wrong. We are figuring all of this out because of Miki. It is a huge calming influence on all of us, as well as getting shit DONE!! He just recently started looking into mobility aids for us because we probably need them but the rest of us have not for one reason or another. Anyways. Miki rocks. Shoutout to Miki
