Just got inspired from some bs, and want to share an idea w/ others who'll actually, like, USE it lmfao

Single Parent/Struggling ex-friend or whatever, idfk

To be clear, I never want kids, but I think kid fics are legitimately so cute lmfao

So, Character A and Character B used to know eachothed. They could have gone to the same school and were adversaries, they could've been neighbors and disliked eachother, disgruntled roommates, or ex-besties that got in a bad argument. Doesn't matter, they just have to know eachother and be upset with eachother for some reason (that last one is *my* personal fave, but you do you).

So, years later, Character A ends up having a kid, and their partner is out of the picture completely (well, not completely if you want that sort of drama, but I'm personally not a big fan of that, so do whatever). They stumble across Character B (either finding them randomly, or Character B shows up at their doorstep, begrudgingly asking for help), who is down on their luck and just needs somewhere to stay for a little while.

Character A reluctantly lets them, and they slowly build up a friendly relationship as they struggle to deal with a small child and their issues w/ eachother at the same time, while making sure the child is growing up in a positive environment.

Personally, I want it to be friends, to adversaries, to lovers, but you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Character B is a human that goes to the same school where A is currently hiding.

After getting to know each other and falling in love, A's secret comes to light (intentionally or not).

Let's just say B doesn't have the best reaction...

Now, A has to gain B's trust back and make them fall in love with them again, all while making sure B keeps their secret.

Shifter AU

Character A is down on their luck( shitty job, shitty life, ect.), when they meet Character B out of the blue! As they end up meeting more and more often at random encounters, they start to talk more and become friends, close friends at that.

It all comes ahead, one day, when Character A is suddenly left without a home (maybe they got evicted, or the place needed to be fumigated, anything short term will work) and Character B offers them to temporarily stay at their house! So nice and sweet, right?

So, Character A moves in, and it's a sweet slow burn, up until something disastrous happens (could be supernatural, could be just a violent burglar), and Character A is put in direct danger with their life on the line. They are scared, terrified even, and that is not help when a wolf launches at their attacker from nowhere and takes a bite of their arm. They end up cornering Character A behind them as they growl at the danger until it leaves them, with Character A freaking the fuck out, because why was there suddenly a wolf in the apartment? Why is it defending them and not attacking them? Ohmygod, what happened to their roommate/crush??? As their panicking, the wolf suddenly turns into Character B, explaining that they "wanted them to find out differently" and "I'm not usually violent" and "I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you away" as Character A simply... bluescreens.
