Colorful Layers of Sedimentary Rock (Valley of Fire, Nevada) by Sean Bagshaw.

The legacies people leave behind in you.
My handwriting is the same style as the teacher’s who I had when I was nine. I’m now twenty one and he’s been dead eight years but my i’s still curve the same way as his.
I watched the last season of a TV show recently but I started it with my friend in high school. We haven’t spoken in four years.
I make lentil soup through the recipe my gran gave me.
I curl my hair the way my best friend showed me.
I learned to love books because my father loved them first.
How terrifying, how excruciatingly painful to acknowledge this. That I am a jigsaw puzzle of everyone I have briefly known and loved. I carry them on with me even if I don’t know it. How beautiful.

let's make the earth's atmosphere
nitrogen
oxygen
carbon dioxide
argon
water
results in mol%
don't fuck this up, we gotta breathe
Science side of Tumblr, how are we doing?
The oxygen is doing great, 19% is comfortable, just under earth's 21%.
11% argon is incredibly high, but luckily that shouldn't affect us in any way.
41% nitrogen is low, humans don't need that, not sure if that will be a problem for nitrogen fixing organisms.
23% water... will just precipitate, I suppose.
Doing well!
The carbon dioxide is supposed to be well under 1%. 6% would in the short term be extremely unpleasant, and in the longer term will cause an incredibly aggressive, exaggerated form of greenhouse climate change. (6% is 60000 ppm)

girls get lonely in the winter and fold into themselves and disappear for an indeterminate amount of time and seek solace in solitude and ponder the universe and reinvent who they are before blooming again in the warmer months and letting the molten glow of a honey-gold sun breathe life into their heart and soul and bones. it’s just the way it goes
