Whether it’s a gwynriel ending or not, i’m just happy we’ll be getting Gwyneth Berdara, after so many years of them saying she’s not important and just a side character and her and the valkyries stories are done, i just feel so vindicated right now 😭😭😭 also they really underestimated SJM’s love for the valkyries, i always knew she wasn’t done with them and especially after she said so many times they were inspired from her own friendgroup. But it’s also surreal that we’re getting two books of valkyries like i can’t believe this IM SO HAPPY

Azriel interrupted Lucien and said she didn't need anything, they did.

Azriel was questioning the Cauldron about why the "Third Sister" was given to someone else and not to him, as if she were a trophy.

Elain said she WANTED to help and be more active in the IC.

Azriel doesn't let her take risks or expose herself to danger as if she were a porcelain doll.

Elain said she's not a child for them to fight for her.

Azriel said he would defeat Lucien in a Blood Duel for her, instead of simply telling Rhysand that this is something Elain wouldn't want, or simply stopping to think that KILLING Lucien would bring PAIN to Elain because of their mating bond.

Azriel has "loved" Elain since Acomaf. But even so, he didn't deny that he no longer feels anything for Mor when Rhysand asked.

Azriel gave the TT to Elain, she STABBED the King of Hybern, and Azriel didn't give her the slightest credit for it. Lucien is the one who acknowledges her deed.

Elain returned everything Azriel had given her, she didn't return any of Lucien's gifts, nor is it even stated whether she returned or even threw away the coat he put on her shoulders, as the narration made a point of showing her returning the necklace and the TT.

Lucien said that Elain is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

The only time Azriel mentions Elain's beauty is when he's imagining having sex with her.

Lucien manifested a power he didn't even know he possessed in Hybern just to get to Elain.

Azriel, with an arrow in his chest, was only concerned about Morrigan.

Now this one's for the Elriels.

We complain about Azriel and Elain's actions, but we like the characters (especially because we want them with Gwyn and Lucien).

You've even called Lucien an abuser and constantly attack his appearance, even though he was the partner who most respected his mate's space. And you wished for Gwyn's death and called her the Hybern Deposit because AZRIEL felt the Spark in his chest for her.

So no, nobody here is going to feel sorry for you when the next books come out. You will read Elucien and Gwynriel knowing that complaining won't change absolutely anything, or you'll simply leave the fandom and finally leave us in peace.

You will cry and we will laugh.

SA and especially g*ngrape gwyn went through in those circumstances is not just trauma, it’s something that changes u forever, It's incorrigible harm as it affects ur brain chemistry literally, it’s the worst crime anyone can ever do. the way they are talking about is not just nasty it’s actually very scary because there’s nothing worse than that and they don’t seem to realize it. and moreover gwyn didn’t go through that only, you make it out to be like her life was and is all pink and butterflies besides that “one horrible night” be fucking for real. don’t want to be that kind of person but “all sisters” isn’t just elain.

And in the discussion of whether or not Elain will reject the bond with Lucien and the theoretical discussion of "What do you do if your mate isn't an instant match?", Azriel is not mentioned once as a part of that struggle. Autonomy and free will and trauma, but not a PEEP about wanting someone else or feeling drawn to someone who makes you feel safe instead. Not a thing about a deep connection to a third party.

I don’t know how to feel about this podcast tbh

like yes we didn’t get the questions we wanted answered but still she did open up about very personal things and was very vulnerable and it is what a podcast is supposed to be so yea i don’t want to say anything negative because of that

BUT when she started talking about her couples and her wanting that back and forth between them and they had to have a spark i got SO excited cuz ?? you know who would have that back and forth ? elain and lucien.
