Reblog if I'm allowed to send you in character asks even if we have never talked before.
Rare? Power Joe wasn’t sure if he could be any weirder than a giant robot *could* be. This whole conversation wasn’t boding well for him. Not that he needed advice or anything!
He shook his head and tried to regain his cool, even going so far as to clear his vocalizer despite his fluster. Oh, boy. “Eesh. I’m not gonna tell someone how to live their life, but this flirting stuff is starting to sound like a lot of work…”
He rubbed the back of his helm with his hand and wrinkled his nose in thought. He’d figured love just happened, like on tv. “Well, what about asking someone on a walk in the park? That’s pretty smooth, right?”
“Sure,” Natasha hummed, “but it’s all in how you ask. Some people might think you’re friendly, others might just think you’re being creepy. Your tone of voice is the biggest indicator on what your intention’s are. You gotta be careful with it, because a simple ‘hello, how are you’ can turn anyone uncomfortable very fast.” She really needed to be recording this, or someone needed to record this.
His puzzled frown deepened. The scratch at the back of his helm paused. “Hm. Well, how's this sound?” He flings his arms out before loudly exclaiming: “How are ya?”

[:I apologize for the silence that followed your return pings, I have been… Distracted. My name is Goldwind, and I hail from the planet Cybertron. Who might you be?:]
“Woah!” Now this is new. After the initial surprise, he cocks his head and taps his internal radio transmitter, both flustered and... slightly suspicious. (What the?)
“Wh- Goldwind?“ Yeah, this is definitely not what he was expecting. “Huh! Well, you can call me Power Joe from planet Earth. That or you’ve got the wrong number...”
He remembered a ping, but hadn’t expected a response. This day is starting out interesting.
His face immediately leapt about 50 degrees in temperature, give or take. Uh. Oh, his mouth was hanging open.
“Uh- that’s…” Power Joe stuttered, unprepared for where this conversation had gone and what did baseball have to do with..?! “Th-that’s a little-” (*Adult*? He quickly scanned Natasha to confirm her age, *yikes*–) “-That’s not very romantic,” he blustered. “And a little inappropriate, don’t you think..??”
Now he was suddenly worried anyone he had ever called cute in his life thought he was some kind of pervert.
Oh god this was priceless. Did Natasha mention she was enjoying every second of this? “Not everyone is out for long term romance.” She said with a shrug. “You’re an adult, this is stuff adults do. It’s part of life.” She hummed. “People that are into the whole Romance thing, from my experience are rare. But, again, I worked in a bar. A bar is the most common place to pick up someone for a one night stand.” It’s all about how someone delivers the compliment. Body language, facial expression, tone of voice, all of it. You make the right combination, you can turn a simple compliment into flirting in seconds.

Out of my league!? “Out of my league!?” Gunmax scrambles to a stand and pokes his finger at Power Joe’s chest.
“I was trying to be nice!” He frowned harder. Somehow.
Ugh!
“Unbelievable!”
"HEY!" Power Joe growls and shoots up to shove a finger back. "What was that for?! And what do you mean, 'nice'?" His snarl becomes a scowl, then a puzzled frown. "Wait. So... You really don't-?"
It occurs to him that maybe he's wrong about Gunmax's intentions after all.
Gunmax hums thoughtfully and entwines his fingers. Power Joe was surprisingly comfortable discussing this with him, something he didn’t think was likely. One question that had nagged the Motorcycle Detective for some time came to mind, perhaps he could bring it up. But he would have to be tactful about it.
“What do you think of Kagerou?”
…Good enough.
“Wha-?” Power Joe repeats before abruptly sitting up and staring at the biker cop with undisguised shock. So much for his wise relationship guru facade. “Why bring him up? Unless…”
No. It couldn’t be. Could it..?
“… *You like Kagerou*?!”
Gunmax struggled to hold back the laughter and a small squeak escaped his tight-lipped grin. Keep it together!
“Oh, let’s just say I’m asking for a friend,” he tried to look as relaxed as he could muster by leaning an elbow on the desk.
“So Kagerou. You think he’d be a good partner?”
His face scrunches as shock gives way to suspicion. Power Joe squints at Gunmax and then kicks back to throw his arms across his chest. Damn, he's moody all the sudden. Normally he'd get a kick out of something like this! Eesh...
"Uh-huh." Not convinced. "First of all, he's a little out of your league, no offense. He's pretty refined." Now that he's thinking about it, the idea of Gunmax and Kagerou definitely rubs him the wrong way. He's not one to stick his toes in other people's love lives (if he even had toes,) but this was Gunmax! Something suspicious was going on here. Just what was he planning to do with Kagerou? "Yep! Plus, I bet he's really romantic. That's what the mysterious guys are always like when no one's looking. Bet that puts you right off, huh?"

"... *You like Kagerou*?!"
These were a lot of terms Power Joe did not recognize. He couldn’t let her know he didn’t know what she was saying. Now was the time to put his detective skills to the test. Maybe he could learn something after all. You know, to help his friends out. Like Gunmax. Cough.
“I know all about dating,” he insisted. “Not so sure about this third base thing, though… Hey, hold on - You’re pretty young to be talking about this sort of stuff. Don’t tell me you’ve been on a date..?”
Oh gods how Natasha wished she had a camera. This was absolute gold. “Third base,” she said slowly, and crossing her arms. “Is another term for having sex with someone. Most people flirt with each other to have sex with whoever they’re flirting with without needing to date them.” Natasha shrugged, and looked away. “I’ve been on one date my whole life. But I worked behind a bar for years. I know all about this stuff from experience.”
His face immediately leapt about 50 degrees in temperature, give or take. Uh. Oh, his mouth was hanging open.

It was about time he got a little respect around here! Power Joe eyed Gunmax seriously, then nodded. “Riiiight. Well… I guess I’ll help you out.” He was too good and reliable to leave a fellow Brave hanging. Sigh. If only he weren’t *such* a great guy.
“One, you’re going to need someone who can take your attitude. Not to be discouraging, but that’s gonna take some looking.” He leaned back and threw his hands behind his head, still nodding. “It’s really important to be yourself, even if it’s hard.”
The absurdity of Gunmax asking him for advice was utterly eclipsed by how much wisdom he had to bestow.
Gunmax nods and tries to look thoughtful by placing a hand on his chin. Take some looking? As if. He had already scoped out his options. But Power Joe seemed to be enjoying himself and the Motorcycle Detective would be lying if he said he wasn’t having fun.
“Please, do go on.”
Gunmax is taking this well. Could there be hope for him after all? Power Joe's brows lift beneath his helm. He then makes a thoughtful sound and tilts his head back to consider the ceiling.
"Ha -- the rest is easy!" He grins and kicks a leg up to wiggle his foot atop his opposite knee. "Once you're true to yourself, you're sure to find somebody out there. They've gotta be kind and honest. That's important, you know. Fun, too... And cute..." He flusters a little, quickly continuing: "Ah, but that doesn't matter if they aren't honest about who they are."
Grumbles loudly and pouts at his desk. He does not get flustered, darn it.
He squinted at her.
“Hmph. Alright, fine…” Something inside him is curious to hear just what this other stuff is. You know, just to, uh… know. “So, what else is there? B-because I know all about kissing and all that!”
Natasha raised an eye brow, and slowly grinned. Oh, this was getting good. He was ten, he had the mentality of a ten year. She swore to high heaven he was ten. “Pick up lines, compliments, your tone of voice, your posture. The ‘other side’ can be two things,” Natasha said ‘all knowingly’. She was an emotionally stunted teen, and yet she knew more about flirting than the mecha. Painful. “The first, would be a second date. The second, would be hitting third base. For most, they for-go the first option, and go straight for the second one. Now then, which are you going to go for?”

@theotakugundamblog Eh..? You think so?
Jeeze, now I’m embarrassed, heheh.
Awei did I make the brave kung fu detective blush ?
O-Of course not! I don't blush.
“Fl-flirting?! You’ve got some weird ideas about flirting, lady!”
He wagged a finger, as though he knows what he’s talking about. “That’s giving someone flowers, or saying they’re cute. There’s an art to it, you know.”
“That’s the innocent end of flirting.” Natasha stated crossing her arms. “What are you, ten? Flirting isn’t just giving someone flowers or saying their cute. Sure, it’s nice to hear. But there’s more to flirting than just that.”
He squinted at her.
"Hmph. Alright, fine..." Something inside him is curious to hear just what this other stuff is. You know, just to, uh... know. "So, what else is there? B-because I know all about kissing and all that!"
I'm older than you, jerkoff. You should be asking me for pointers.
@powerjoe302 @gunmax601
“Are you two done flirting with each other yet? Just kiss all fracking ready!”
W-wha..?!
You want me to kiss Gunmax!?
“Well you two are already flirting with each other! You may as well kiss him at this point.”
